Bobby pins

Today where I work, a guy came in wearing a bobby pin in his hair. This guy is considered handsome in a bohemian sort of way by a lot of the women here. He was trying to hold his hair back from over his ear, and this metal thing was sticking out. It took me a minute to recognize what it was. I haven't seen a bobby pin in probably, oh, 30 years. The last time I saw one, I was using it to try and pick the lock on a friend's suitcase after he lost the key. (It doesn't work the way it does in the movies.)

I just thought it was odd. I didn't know anyone still wore bobby pins. And I've never seen a man wear one.

I'll bet you five bucks he uses curlers, too.

I don't know what he looked like but I wear one everyday to keep that little bit of hair that's not quite long enough to make it into the ponytail up off my neck

Thanks, jayR. I'd just assumed everyone used scrunchies these days. (See, I'm not totally out of touch. I know what scrunchies are. We use the velvety ones as collars when we have kittens to give away. Works like a charm!)
