Anyone want to buy a man...relatively cheap?

Man Auctions Off His Life: A Connecticut, man is trying to get his life back on track with an "everything must go" on-line auction.

A 32-year-old info systems manager who wishes to be identified only as Jonathan says his debt and impending divorce have forced him to sell off everything he owns in a one-lump auction.

He's putting up his 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse, a leather sofa, bedroom set, computer, TV, stereo, comic book collection and numerous other items he's collected throughout his life.

Jonathan says if he gets at least one person to put up the opening bid of $39,000 that will be enough to get him out of debt and start a new life.

He says he won't miss his possessions. In his words, "They're just material stuff. I'll have new stuff soon."

So far, no one has bid on his auction yet which ends August 5.

Very true, but hey you have to give the guy points for creativity!

The lengths to which some people would go... very shocking but a cool concept in a way... starting from scratch, I sometimes have thought that I have too much "stuff" but I don't think I'd be so brave as to just let it all go. The idea is liberating but a little too scary. Interesting post PB!

It is very interesting, thanks. I know what the guy is going through having to start over, but luckily I wasn't in as rough shape as he seems to be.

Besides I probably couldn't get more than $19.95 for me and my stuff!
