Remember my last flatmates?

The ones who we kicked out after they didn't pay rent and they kept having big huge fights?

Well T just came into my room and said that she had called Baycorp (debt collection agency) who we reported her to and the lady said that they hadn't been able to find her yet, but that she has lots of people after her and owes thousands of dollars!

So we probably won't get our money back. Apparantly they have an address for her but she hasn't replied to their letters and phone calls. I don't know why they don't go round to talk to her.

How someone can owe thousands of dollars to people and not bother trying to pay any of it back amazes me! I would never be able to do that, and if I have to borrow money I will pay it back as soon as I can.

Some people are just bastards!

Sad fact of life Peech is that there are many people who seem to think the world owes them a living and just don't pay their way.

We all learn that lesson the hard way, try the tennant of mine who skipped owing 10 weeks rent, yet drove a late model BMW. Turned out the reason they hadn't paid me was to pay the loan on the car!

Priorities - like the roof over your head dude! Then the AH got all upset because after not coming good on his promises I asked him when he was going to stop lying. Despite court orders the works, I have never got the money back. Property as an investment sucks, it is so easy to be taken for a ride if you are a landlord.

i went through the same thing when i owned a 2-flat, but it was only about $600...if i'm ever a landlord again i'll make sure not to accept personal checks...
