My 21st

Its just over 2 months until my 21st, so I think its about time I started planning it.

But I don't know what I want to do.

If I had a car and more money then I honestly think I would go away by myself and stay at a nice hotel and go shopping. But since I'm a poor student I can't really do that.

My sister had a cocktail party for hers, which was nice, but do I want to do the same thing as my sister? Lol.

I know one thing, I'm not going to town afterwards and if anyone leaves to go there I will think they're horrible lol. Im too old for town now, and I'm sick of having flatwarmings and parties where people come around 8 and everyone goes to town between 10 and 11.

I want to do something different for it, but I just don't know what.

So you guys are to give me some ideas Or just tell me about your 21st!

Just play naked twister... you'll never forget your Champaign birthday that way.

Ideas:
1) Any place with a pool or hot tub (hotel or friends place) people are reluctant to leave a pool party for a bar! Who wears swim wear to the bar anyway - Cancun excepted ofcourse.

2) If it's a bunch of ladies - Chipindale dancers might be a nice welcome... I not much of an erotic dancer, but if I did... I'd be there for ya.

3) Are you a part of a sorority! If not, you could always crash a fraternity party! Just print up a bunch of shirts with "AdultFriendFinder" on the front and "Friends Enter Below" on the back with an arrow pointing down! LOL

I'm out of ideas for ya - sorry.

My 21st: friends, family, kegs, stripper, in to town, and then back to a mates place to finish the remaining keg as Sunday entertainment. All good fun, but a great way to destroy your body.

Of course a yardie (maybe a half-yard for you) is mandatory! Or am I just a old school Westie waster?

My 21st .. I really didn't feel ready to celebrate anything yet. I still had one more paper to go to finish my degree (and was enrolling for a master's anyway...) and didn't have a job and wasn't engaged or anything like that. I didn't feel like a proper adult yet (ok, there are still questions about that ... more than 20 years later). I think I would have much preferred to wait and have a big 25th ... by then I'd been working a couple of years and had done some really cool things and made some money and was truly independent and been part of a startup stockbroking firm that did really great during the big crash of '87 (two months before my 25th).

I was also intending to have a 33 1/3 party but then forgot until a few weeks after

Oh, yeah, my 21st. It was just a family dinner for about 30 at the Kamo Cobb&Co. I guess the best thing about it for me was that my grandfather was there, one of the last times I saw him before he died.

You can still do what you want Peche girl. Just save up for two months and I promise it will be worth it. Think budget or economical trip. Since you said you don't have a car, take a bus or train and rent a room at a nice budget hotel. As for shopping, you don't have to shop a lot. Perhaps you can try a flea market where you can find great bargains. You never know.

I don't know about your family but my dad doesn't give me presents anymore. He gives me money as a gift. If your parents are easygoing, tell them about your plan and that you'd really appreciate it if they can give you money (the amount is up to them) instead of buying you presents.

My 21st birthday wasn't huge. I was out having lunch with a former college galpal. She actually brought me a bouquet of roses and mini cakes in different flavors. After lunch and while walking down the strip to another mall, we got stopped by a Channel V vj and his cameraman. Long story short, I was on TV with her

Hi, first time in your blog!!
Yeah it sucks when you have a party and no sooner than it really kicks off when people are pushing for a move into the city! (or clubs etc) Clubs and pubs and shit will always be there, the best nights are at parties!! Even kept small like your closest friends is a good start!
It would be cool for you if the weather was better, as a bbq is always a cool start, and can be done easily on a budget! But even in September it is still a little cool!
