Its my blog, I can bitch when I want lol.

Last night when I got home from work I was exhausted and grumpy and wrote two massive long blogs bitching about work lol.

I deleted them this morning cos it was just a load of shit I had to get off my chest and I feel better now.

Well it wasn't so much work I was bitching about, just two certain people who have been annoying me for the past few weeks.

One is a supervisor/host who is around my age, maybe a few years older but she is always hassling me when we work together about how I have to do things faster and push beverage spend etc etc.

Last week she was giving me shit about stuff like that all night, when I was doing my job properly and as fast as I can with 2 hands and 2 legs lol. She wasn't even supposed to be telling me what to do cos that night she was supervisor and its the host who tells us we need to speed up or to stay in our sections etc.

The host came up to me and said I was doing a fantastic job and that she has no problem with how I work and not to worry about it and winked and said you know what I'm saying right. Then she just said to try to stick to my section to keep the supervisor happy. I had 3 tables of 2 in my section! And one of the other waitresses had one table of 22 plus a couple of other waitresses and had asked if I could help her out a bit which I was happy to do.

Also, twice she has said to me "you were thinking you were so cool weren't you". Once was when she was restocking the bench with coffee cups and I said she probably shouldn't bother putting them all up since we have to take them down at the end of the night. She said oh yeah true then a few minutes later realised it was a Saturday night and the cups do get used on Sunday because lunch is different on Sundays to every other day (confused yet? )

This was the 2nd night I had worked after they had changed the lunch system so I hadn't realised we don't take them away every night. Then, I was in the kitchen and she saw me and said how I thought I was so cool but I was wrong and laughed and did it in front of some other workers.

No, I didn't think I was cool, I was only trying to help since that was the first time she had worked since it had changed.

And anyway, its not the type of thing a host or supervisor should say to a waitress at work!

The other time she said it was last night when I had to takeover a drink order so she could do something else and I was making the rum and coke and had just started pouring the rum when I remembered it was supposed to be a single and at that time she walked up and told me I should be measuring it (they have the automatic double shot pourers on them). I was tipping the rum from the glass into the measuring cup and it turned out to be exactly a single shot so I was like oh sweet it was right anyway and put it back in the glass. Thats when she said it again!

I don't know why she is like this to me, I havn't done anything to piss her off that I know of, I just do my job properly the first time so I don't have to redo it!

Just the other week the manager came up to me to say she had received good feedback about me from the hosts and that I had really picked up my pace and was doing a good job. So I don't know what her problem is!

Lol this is almost as long as it was last night! There are other things she says to me and one minute she will be nice (but fake nice like she is to everyone lol) then she will be grumpy. She even chucked my tray on the floor when I was making drinks and about to use it.

There is a new bar opening at work soon so I might see if I can work there instead. You are supposed to work 6months before you can change but maybe I could say I don't want to work with HER anymore so I want to change.

Will talk to my manager tomorrow when I see her!

honey there is always that one person who just doesn't like you..they don't have to a reason just happens...best thing is to not pay attention to her and if you really want to piss her off..be overly nice to her...lol...Trust me if people see you being nice to her and her being a jerk to you...the tables will turn...best of luck..hugs...ps don't talk bad about her..rant here if you like..but it gives her ammo if you talk to co-workers...

Good on you for going for a change and not taking shit - no one works for fun. You've probably already spoken to your manager about a change of position but, if not, slip the word 'grievance' into the conversation, not in a threatening way mind. It's just that this word tends to a command a disproportionate amount of attention from employers.

Good luck.

Another really cool thing to do would be, and I haven't tried this, or even heard of it before... but it seems like a winner.

Take a dog turd and put it in a plastic bag. You know... one of those zip lock ones.

When she's not looking, tape that shit bag onto her back.

Sweet as!

Even if they do find out it was you and you do get sacked, you can laugh for the rest of your life that she walked around with a shit on her back.

Awesome. Noone gets the better of you Peche.
