What exactly does bi-curious mean?

I've been kinda wondering that. I've noticed a significant number of ladies indicate that they're bi-curious. And, when you read their profiles further it says that they're seeking women, couples (M/F) and couples (F/F).

Excuse me, but that doesn't sound like "bi-curious" to me. Sounds more like "bi-serious" or "hetero-abstinant."

Last time I checked, heterosexual meant you're interested in the opposite sex, homosexual meant same sex and bisexual meant you're interested in both. Bi-curious I always took to mean that you're predominantly heterosexual but interested in possibly exploring homosexual relationships. I also suppose the opposite could be true (predominantly homosexual and interested in trying a heterosexual relationship).

Now if that's the case then why don't bi-curious females include the opposite sex in who they're interested in meeting?

When did the definition change?
