The Zen of Computer Matinence and Other Subjects

Last Thrusday, after a slow decline, my computer lost all its blue smoke. We all know that computers run on blue smoke, and if it ever looses its blue smoke major repairs are in order. So I take the case apart, which seems to magicly make money disapear from my wallet, and find that my board and chip are cooked like a xmas goose. I toddled down to the local chain electronic shop to buy a new board and prosesser, and after realizing that no one had any idea of what I was saying, becauce if you want to be understood in such places you must be fluant in stupid, I went to the next gigantic electronic chain store. At least they had people to help me out. After spending $$$$, I tried to install my new board and chip. After it would not power up, I traced the problem back to the charred power supply. It was back in the car for a second visit to the store, and after spending more $$$ that I can't afford my machine was back to rights. There was a lesson in all of this, don't let the blue smoke escape from your machine.
....
I went out dancing the other night, or rather I was drug kicking and screaming by two lovely ladies who I have no chace with (they are married, and therefor I am safe). It was fun, but I learned some things. I cannot dance in any shape or form, but no one else at the club could dance either so it didn't matter. I knew almost everyone at the club, and those I didn't know were occupied. I have to move beyond my current social circle if I want any chance at love, or hell, even lust. I have to seek out other venues where I am unknown. The problem I have found is that the clubs I go to are the nicest in the city, and everywhere else feels scummy or that I am pushing my luck being there for extended peroids of time. I guess that is the real reason I am here.
