What a way to run a railroad!!!!!!!

Normally, I don't pitch a bitch about my job here, but after the past few nights...I've got to write this down or I'll bust!!!!!

I've been working as a night auditor in a small hotel for over 7 years. I've seen some strange stuff, but I've been able to handle just about every curve ball that's been thrown my way. The owner paid me the highest compliment when he said 'he can sleep at night when he sees my name on the schedule...because he knows his hotel is in good hands'.

If there's trouble, I handle it. I feel that I'm responsible for the safety and well being for every guest that stays there...at least from 11pm to 7am.

But now...I'm not sure wtf is going on.....

We have a guest who has been here for a couple of weeks. I didn't have any problems with her until about 10 days ago. I got a call from the room next to hers...guests complaining about yelling & screaming. I went to check it out and I heard yelling & screaming coming from her room. I banged on the door...no answer. I went back to the front desk and called her room...no answer. Ten minutes later...she calls me with a question. When I questioned her about the noise, she out and out lied to me, saying 'oh that wasn't me..I just woke up'. I informed her that I heard her because I was outside her room and if I got another complaint, she'd have to leave. She was due to check out the 20th.

When I get back from my trip to the beach, I find out she's EXTENDED her stay another week. Plus, she's been causing more trouble...and nobody who works here seems like they want to do anything about it.

So...I'm writing this down for your amusement...

You won't be thrown out of a hotel, even if you....
-stand on the balcony and yell at people in the parking lot...at 2 in the morning.
-call 911 and have the police come to your room...three times in one hour...and for no good reason.
-make threatening phone calls to people in another state...who then turn around and call the hotel to complain.
-threaten people in the room next to yours that 'you'll have the FBI come and take them away" I swear, I'm not making this up!!!!

Some of the clerks are afraid to deal with her, because, obviously, the woman has a problem. However...I've made it clear. If I have the first problem...the first complaint...then I will call down the wrath of God on her head. She won't be the first troublemaker I've kicked out of here...and, unfortunately, she won't be the last.

It's like my sons tell their friends....Don't cross___________ or you'll find out just what 'evil' is.....

NG.....in an evil mood right at the moment.

Sounds like a whack job sorry that you have to deal with this and that the others are too scared to hold their ground like you have.

oh boy
like life isn't difficult enough
sounds to me like someone with MH issues - or substance abuse issues
either way - sounds like she needs to be GONE

and an aside
most people will choose inaction - hoping someone else will take care of stuff and they won't have to - sounds like your coworkers are hoping NightGuy will do just that

and i am sure Nightguy will - just too bad others aren't willing to do their jobs - makes yours all the more difficult

hugs and be safe
