What a terrific day this is!! Right

Woke up with a hell of a tooth ache this morning and since I don't have an appointment until the 11th, I am not in the best of moods.

Go pick up the helper I have and he is late. Drinking coffee with his Mom and his crossdresser Step Dad.
Like I really wanted to get down and meet them.
Finally get him moving and it starts to rain just as we get the his mower loaded. Wonder how this day is going to be?

Get him home and started in one of the small buildings tearing down the closet and storage area. First thing he does is put a hole in the drywall.Great, more work for me.

I want to finish the floor and find myself one board short. Off I go to buy another box. 65 mile drive each way for one damn board.

Since my truck is still loaded I took Honey's car. Get to the place and have to wait half an hour to get waited on. If you haven't figured by now, patience, is not my longsuit.
Finally get the stuff in the car and it won't start. No matter what I do, it won't start.
Got a mechanic to come over from across the highway at a used car dealer and we finally get it started. Ran a couple minutes and stopped. Not sure what the problem is and can't find a mechanic that can repair it for at least a week. Ok fine if that is the way it wants to be, goodby car. Sold it to the guy for 600 bucks.

Walked over to a used car place to look around. Since I am in the middle of nowhere, there isn't much choice. Cash only! Lovely, just fricking lovely. Don't have my check book, can't get to the bank, can't transfer funds from his computer for some ungodly reason, so I am stuck with a debit card that only has 7 grand in that account.
One bright red 1998 Chevy pickup comes in at that price. Its the only one with an automatic tranny in it. (She can't drive a standard.) Honey now owns a pick up truck.

I call her to let her know this and get some great news. The helper I have just loaded some wood into my truck.

Right through the back window.

Just what I needed. glass everywhere on the seat, raining falling inside it, and according to Honey, he is still loading it. Got to give him that much, He is a worker. Even rain and broken windows don't shut this guy down.

Finally get back home and some dumb ass that is visiting has pulled his car right in my way to get into my yard.
So now I am walking in the rain, watching water pour into my truck and watching everything get soaked in her truck. The helper is soaked to the skin, and when I get inside, a dumb ass is parked in my recliner. Must be the Archie Bunker in me. You don't sit in my recliner.
I haven't had time to eat yet today, only 1 cup of coffee in me and his ass is parked in my recliner.

I take my truck with the broken window and head to the dump to offload it. Guess who gets flat tire? Yep, its the guy who's spare tire was unloaded at home by his helper to make room. Got the tire fixed, the truck offloaded and get back home.

Got ready to put the last board in on the flooring. Hot Damn, gonna be finished soon. Knelt down to put it in and knelt right on a screw that had been dropped on the floor by my helper.

Now I got a tooth ache, a knee ache, a new used truck, a maxed out debit card, a broken window, and a helper who is costing me a fortune.
What a great day this is!!!!!

Bet you think I'm mad as all hell right now don't you? Wrong.

You see, Honey loves me, so nothing else matters.

Hope you had a great day too.

Damn, Rooster...

Sounds like you are operating in some damned parallel universe - the one where everything works exactly in opposition to what the "normal" universe would be like. Seems if it wasn't for bad luck... you wouldn't have no luck at all! Seems that way is all. You do have an appointment on the 11th.

I did have a great day, too - in spite of the opposition
