Got to wonder about folks sometimes

Took the morning off and went home to help Honey.
She is having a rubbish uh I mean rummage sale this weekend to get rid of many of the things we will no longer need or have room for.

Of the items, two are antique, quality, hand made
bedside tables. Both were made over 90 years ago.
We want to move the stuff so it is priced ridiculously low. The end tables were priced a t 50 bucks each. They are valued at about 300 bucks each.

This couple drives up in a 40 grand plus auto, look around at some of the things and then commence to let us know that the table price is way to high. Willing to give 50 bucks for the pair. They left without buying anything.

Now I got nothing against saving a buck here and there and I certainly don't have anything aginst being poor. Being cheap is another matter all together.

Hell were were dust poor when I was a kid. To be dirt poor would have been a step up. We couldn't afford dirt so had to settle for dust. What we ate was either caught, shot, or raised in the garden. Store bought was for them rich folks.
Been damn por but never been cheap. Can't understand them.

Rooster some people just have it in their nature to bargain they can't feel good unless they percieve themselves as getting a deal many yard sales set their prices higher than what they want for something just so people haggle. Its all a mind game really.

I agree with Phoe though rich people tend to have that mentality its what they learned to become that so its just in their nature.

Had I set the prices at their value and waited to sell everything, it would have brought in over five grand instead of a measly 1100 and something bucks. I don't think anyone with a brain would have found anyting overpriced.

I love to horse trade and will haggle over a nickle for an hur just for the fun of it, but these folks were just a litle to unreasonable for my taste.
