Explain this one to me where it makes sense!!

Went to the DMV office to change a title paper over on a vehicle I sold.
Not a problem. Nothing is free. Don't expect it to be.
But, Since I view the licence and the registration as a form of tax, why the hell do I pay 30% tax on this tax?

Another thing I don't understand is why we even have DMV offices. I was under the impression that my tax dollars paid these folks who work there to change titles and such. I have to pay an outrageous tax and they add a tax to that, then they charge me ten bucks extra because I went to the office instead of mailing it in. What the hell are the Offices for if we have to pay extra for service?

I am supposed to go to the DMV office and pick up a form. After I drive 60 miles to pick up the form, I should then go to the post office and mail it in to the DMV office I just came from and wait two weeks or pay ten bucks extra!!!

I wish to hell these politicians would kiss me or at least get some vaseline or something. Hell if they are going to screw me at every turn, I should be able to enjoy it some.

Now the damn fool wants me to reelcet him . Right In a big pigs eye I will!!

It's just their way of saying "Thanks, SUCKA!"

Take the Nat'l Parks... they charge you $10 to get in and then $16 per night to camp there. Of course, the parks are already bought and paid for and the ongoing operating costs are covered by "tax" dollars. So, why the fees? I could tell you, but you wouldn't like the answer. I'll give ya a hint... does the word BONUS mean anything to you?

Rooster, I decided to tell you anyway. The definition of socialism is this: Take some money from someone that's got some, cause they work (taxes), and give it to someone that needs some, cause they don't work (entitlements.) As that money flows across your desk (bureaucracy), just reach out and grab a handful for yourself (retirement.) Then charge at the gate for the service (bonus.)

Want to know why they ain't shut the southern border? They need more "voters" to replace the ones that have figured out they're gettin' it - with no grease! Gotta keep that socialism alive or half the fuckin' population is gonna starve to death - the half that consists of the ones that need that money... and the ones that want those bonuses!

Damn Solar,
Me thinks you may have come up with the answer after all.
I don't object to folks getting rich, I just hate for them to try and get rich off of just me.
I nevrer was cheap but damn I hate getting ripped off.

Up here they have volunteers from other states that watch the campgrounds. These folks get to enjoy free parking and their vacation while they collect money from others to park overnight. I wonder how they claim the expense of salary for these folks.

All the parks do that. They call 'em VIP's (Volunteers In Park.) If it wasn't for them, they'd be chargin' $20 and $32, respectively. The VIP's don't get paid! And then, there are the interns. These are usually college kids that work for free because it gains them credit against their school units.

I work on project funding - without funding, I don't have a job. "They" submit "projects" to regional every year. Some get funded - the next year; the year after, etc. This is tax-money based. It's done on a priority listing with public safety at the top of the list, followed by employee safety. followed by???. Once you figure out the priorities methodology, projects are relatively easy to get funding for. Or so it might seem.

The reason the park infrastructure has been in such dis-repair is because the "local bureau-crats" that are short-timers don't give a shit if projects are funded or not, as their retirements and bonuses come from the operating funds and use fees. Project money is not reliable enough, nor is it "unaccountable." every penny gets audited as to how it is spent. (Why, I don;t know, since nothing else does.) So, the newer "bureau-crats", climbing the ladder, are the ones who get projects funded. They do this for some years (makes 'em look good on paper) and the park infrastructure gets repaired of replaced... and then these same ones realize they can just kick back on "tenure" and collect off the base tax and fee stream. The infrastructure goes to shit over time and the cycle starts again.

Anyway, that's the story. Now, multiply the NPS by 432,000 other agencies (and that's just Federal.) Kinda makes you wonder how anyone can aford rice... even the ones without jobs! And you thought the DMV was unique.
