Ok so i had a meeting with a guy the other nite with whom i've been talking to for many a month. Did NOT look like his picture in any respect...
Tell me if someone can, why people have a hard time looking you in the eye Usually there are three reasons that someone can't look you in the eye or hold eye contact with you: 1) they are nervous so nervous that they are looking everywhere but at you 2) they are hiding something and figure that by looking at you in the eye they will end up giving what they hold inside away or 3) the Domminant factor, those who have the confidence, and know it aren't afraid to meet others eyes BUT those that can sense the Domminance in others usually can't meet those people in the eye.
I find this to be very annoying when someone can't meet me in the eye but have learned that its not because they are lying or hiding something its usually because i make them nervous or they can sense that i am "stronger" than they are....so i'm back to square one on looking for some one that is equal to me or stronger than i....

Probably because they are lying!!! Some dont want to look you in the eye for fear of seeing deep into your soul!!!

I agree with mystery dreamer. He's probably lied to you, misrepresented himself, and fears that you will be able to see through him. As I haven't met you, I don't know about your physical presence, do you dominate people? Make people nervous?

LOL well the suspicious mind would tend toward the lying part, i don't think that he was lying on purpose i seriously don't think that any of us lie on purpose.
To answer your question RedRover....no I don't think that I dominate people....but this gentleman did say that i do come across as standoffish to quote unquote him....
I think it all goes back to our more animal instincts in that we can "sense" those among us that are "stronger" I don't think that any of us truely know how others percieve us for fear of reprecussions.....
