Guess Who's Coming To Dinner?

This isn't an early April Fool's joke. This is from PRWeb. They are very reputable. Well, it looks like we pervs are all safe as far as this administration goes. Otherwise, they're lying hypocrites:

Chatsworth, CA (PRWE March 10, 2006 -- Adult film starlet and former California gubernatorial candidate Mary Carey is scheduled to attend the prestigious United to Victory dinner with President George W. Bush in Washington D.C on March 15th - 16th.

This is a dinner for businesspeople from around the country to hang with the President and House Republicans. There is also a tax reform (for the wealthy) workshop for those who can afford to attend. This isn't a cheap dinner. Two tickets to the Dinner and Meeting and a VIP Photo Op with President Bush will set you back $25,000. Two tickets to the Dinner and Meeting and a VIP Photo Op with Karl Rove will set you back $5000. A single ticket for dinner only will set you back a paltry $2500. hmmm... This means if you have an actual picture of yourself with the President, you have a goldmine and didn't even realize! It's worth $20,000!

OK, this is PRWeb writing this. So of course they're going to make it sound like it's invitation only. But anyone who can cough up the money is invited to attend. It is a Republican fundraiser and nothing more.

In addition, due to Carey's efforts in starting Mary Carey Productions, Inc. in 2005, Carey will receive the 2005 California Businesswoman of the Year award.

This is what I mean by, we pervs are safe. Mary Carey Productions, Inc. produces porn flicks. Hardcore porn flicks. I wonder if they're going to give her an NEA grant.

This alone is a joke. Her production company has only made one movie, according to the IMDb. "Run Mary Run." That is it. One hardcore porn movie. Normally, I would never say something like this. But this is a slap in the face to Republican businesswomen who actually do more than produce one porn flick in a two year period. "Run Mary Run" was released in 2004. Her production company has no movie credits beyond that according to the IMDb. A Google search for her production company turns up nothing but links to PRWeb press releases.

If any woman in the porn business deserves an award like this, it's Lizzy Borden. The production company she and her husband own churns out far more movies and ended up being indicted on federal obscenity charges for their movie, "Forced Entry." They won the first round, the judge dropped the charges, but an appeals court reinstated the charges in December. And talk about the raw deal they got... While the company is in California, federal agents managed to get a copy of the movie shipped to them in Pittsburgh, which has puritan obscenity laws and that's where the trial took place. But something tells me they're not Republicans.

"I'm always excited to learn more about what's going on in our nation's capital, since most people in the porn industry think an Iraqi pullout is a form of safe sex," quipped Carey. "Since I'm seriously considering running for governor of California again, I'm going to need a lot of support from Republican lawmakers nationwide - however I can get it."

Blow jobs for peace? Or just for every Republican who matters?

At the invitation of the Nation Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC), Mary Carey will meet and interact with key Congressional leaders and Administration officials to discuss advancing powerful pro-business, pro-family agendas and meeting positive legislative goals. She will join Karl Rove, senior advisor to the President, for lunch on Wednesday the 15th, and President Bush for dinner on Thursday the 16th.

OK, "Desperate Housewives" is destroying the morals of the country, but the pornography business is pro-family? It makes me wonder what's in the plans for her production company, as far as pro-family porn goes. Oh, I'm having nightmares tonight.

This is also bullshit about it being at the invitation of the NRCC. Visit their website and you will see anyone who has the credit limit to be able to cough up the money and is on their mailing list is invited. Well, as long as you're a citizen or legal resident alien. And they only take Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. It must also be a personal credit card. So, no using company funds for this one. At least, not as long as they don't find out about it.

"I'm really excited to be going back to Washington D.C. to see the president again," said Carey. "Everyone thinks that politicians are stuffy, but we all had a great time last year, and I had fun signing a lot of autographs. Wait till they see that I have lost 20 pounds since the last time they saw me. Watch out Mr. President!"

hmmm... I wonder how many of the autographs she signed were for House Republicans, telling her how much they love her, um, attributes.

Carey made national headlines in June of 2005, when she attended a similar dinner with President George W. Bush, also at the invitation of the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC).

Yes, I do remember that last year. It was probably the same fundraiser. Her boss bought the tickets and then announced to the press he was taking her with him. This is a woman who voted for Kerry, but switched parties because she thinks George Bush is hot. She's also admitted to wanting to have sex with Karl Rove. And wanting to run for President when she's old enough.

Well, she has one thing in common with Bush that makes her a good candidate. She has no fucking clue as to what the flag code says. The picture is a clear violation of the flag code. Heh.

Mary's "attributes" are getting up there in age.

From what I've seen, there's a reason she's done one porn film.

She is running on 70,000 miles and a tune-up is out of the question at this point. She hasn't taken care of her body and it shows.

I read about the Lizzy Borden/Rob Black thing in a wrestling mag. Why it was printed there is because their company, Extreme Associates, also distributes tapes and DVDs from their own wrestling promotion, XPW: Xtreme Pro Wrestling, which had established wrestlers and porn stars. I'm not sure if they're still in business, as I haven't seen any new DVDs from XPW as of late. I'm thinking the lawsuit hurt them. Course, it would be far fetched to see Ron Jeremy in a lucha mask, even for that company. Thought I'd bring that up since you mentioned Lizzy Borden.

I heard about Mary Carey running for office. Voters in California had quite a few options for governor, a couple of suits, a porn star, and the terminator. I haven't seen a whole lot of Mary Carey, probably a good thing. I'm sure Jenna Jameson would look better wrapped up in the American flag. Let's face it, Jenna's more mainstream then Carey, and I'm sure has a better business sense. Mary's there to give those old geezers heart attacks all around, but that is my opinion.

Come into my realm! You aren't afraid...are you?

(What the fuck is this shit..?? *rolls eyes*)

Republican are lying hypocrites? Missann, if you don't win the blog award, you should surely get one for the best understatement of the year ... century, maybe.

Surely this doesn't surprise you.

'The picture is a clear violation of the flag code.'

Indeed. Every Olympic athlete that draped the flag over his/her shoulders should have been beaten with a rattan cane in my opinion, but thats just me.

As for Mary Carey and Bush, meh, I could care less. I stopped being a Republican a long time ago.

Division, I didn't say she's only been in one flick, I said her company has only made one and that was back in 2004. She's made close to 70 porn flicks. And my, you think Kate Moss looks chunky, don't you?

Dysgyzed, I'm going to have nightmares based on your fantasies of Guiliani. Ickies.

Nick, Mary is a complete braindead twinkie. You're also forgetting Gary Coleman running for governor. But yeah, I've noticed that Lizzy Borden and Rob Black haven't put out any videos lately. But a quick look at their website shows they're putting stuff up there. Of course, to view anything, you have to pay for a subscription and if you click the wrong link there, you get a log in dialog box that will not cancel and you have to hit ctrl+alt+delete to just close the browser and start again. The site design isn't very good. But yeah. I'm willing to bet if Jenna Jameson was there, suddenly it would be ok to show porn on network TV in prime time.

ready, what can I say? I'm one of those people who gets turned on by debates about politics and religion. Just don't ask me to have sex with a conservative or a televangelist.

WantMore, Republicans are lying hypocrites? Why is that in the form of a question?

HotnBothered, I will check that out. I've been so out of touch the last few days.

BigBoob, it astounds me that the Republicans, who are calling themselves true patriots, have no concept of the flag code. When everyone was flying flags from their cars after 9/11 and letting them get all tattered and ragged, I got told off when I asked people I knew if I could have their flags, as the flag code says flags in such a condition must be burned, with reverence and I've always wanted to be a flag burner, but never had the legal chance. Only my old neighbor, who was a stereotypical patriotic redneck (He even flew the confederate flag over the American flag on the pole,) thought it was funny. But to make me happy, he gave it to the legion post, as every year, they have a flag burning ceremony.

Gary Coleman for governor? Whatcha talkin' bout, Ann? LOL

I didn't know he ran. I think I missed that detail.

Come into my realm! You aren't afraid...are you?

MissAnnThrope replies on 3/17/2006 11:08 pm:
You missed that? He was all over television promoting himself. I have no idea how he did, other than he didn't win.

Kate Moss?

I'm not that bad, Ann.

You're talking to a guy who like Rose McGowan, Winona Ryder and Christina Ricci.

All of them have flaws according to the "superficial ideal" yet I love them for what they are.

I'm not the typical should understand that by now.
