OK, so you all keep asking me for the fudge recipe from Friday night's party. So, instead of sending 50 individual emails, as I'm a lazy old hag, I'm giving you the recipe here:

3 cups (a bag and a half) semi-sweet chips
1 14 oz can condensed milk
1/3 cup Grand Marnier.

Microwave: In a microwave safe bowl, nuke the chocolate and milk on high for three minutes. Stir until blended. If there are still chocolate chunks, nuke in 15 second intervals until melted.

Stove: In a heavy saucepan or double boiler, mix the chocolate and milk, stirring constantly until blended.

Remove from heat or microwave. Stir in the Grand Marnier. Pour into a wax paper lined pan. Refrigerate.

When working with liquor and chocolate, it's best to let it set for a few days to a week for the flavors to blend.

Yes, it is that simple. And you all thought I had turned into Suzy Homemaker. HA!

I'm gonna try this!! I may even try substituting some other liquors for the Grand Marnier. Someone just gave me a bottle of Crown Royal, and there is a bottle of some kind of cholocate liqueur in the cupboard as well. I just got back from Mexico and brought back a box of Jose Cuervo Chocolate Balls - they are awesome.

"Honest Oschifccer, all I've had is 15 pieces of fudge!"

WTF? Why would anybody be asking you for a recipe from a party you never discussed in your blog?

sj, the kitchen is that room where you keep the soda, teabags and cereal. I think. And I have no idea what they call making confectionary.

Princess, I hear cyber twins are much easier to deal with than real twins. The fudge should help you with the labor.

caressme, you're welcome.

cute, my meat cleaver is still in storage. But if I was doing Miss Ann Cleaver, I would have been wearing a dress and heels when I made it. Believe me, I wasn't.

weiner, I was thinking of a variation, with a slightly less dense mix, for rum balls.

nikki, Wait... There's a food group other than chocolate?

Voodoo, I figured I'd share it with more people than just the people on the NYC Gatherings group. There was a party Friday night, rumor had it that it was going to be the last party at the offical group watering hole, as the building was sold. The owners of the bar assured me they're working out a lease arrangement that will allow them to stay. It was uneventful, other than it wasn't the usual person who got sick, as she skipped this party and got drunk at home. No one made a scene this time, a few people who haven't hit a party in a year or so were there, nothing worth writing home about. Very odd for a party at the full moon. But I made this fudge, took it and everyone asked for the recipe. I told them I'd blog it, so they could find it easily.

you mean there was a party with fudge and I wasn't invited? Well, thats ok, as I live all the way across the country and also handcuffed to a dumpster, I probably wouldn't have made it out there anyway. Still, I love fudge. mmmmmmm...fudge.

MissAnn, the fudge was a great pick-me-up I'm at this handle's blog while I get the usual one up again.

PS, I think the fudge has permeated my system and is coming out in my milk, the babies suck harder when I cyber-nurse them after eating it
