Stones from the Outside: Cock-Blocking

I have to admit, when I first heard the term, "cock-blocking" I was also a bit off base with its meaning in context. I really thought it had something to do with cock rings. Hmmm...does make sense!

It is ironic that I would be the one to supply a "definition" for someone wondering about the term in our local chatroom yesterday. Those of you who really know me understand I am a "definitions" kind of gal, helpful, more than willing to clarify and always cheerful, well, mischievious in chat...hehehehe. Did I mention often sarcastic?

Herein lies the irony. One thing in life that REALLY bothers me and makes me feel a sense of injustice is when someone accuses me of something I did not do or when someone completely muddles the facts so much that my intentions FOR doing something are completely misconstrued. Call it righteous indignation or pride; okay maybe. It especially bothers me when the person making the accusation is "guilty" of the same thing...it's hypocrisy plain and simple.

So, yesterday's chatroom definition, the incident to which I was a complete bystander, totally unrelated to recent drama among our social group, made me think. It gave me a label for the anger I had been feeling all week over a nasty text message on my phone.

I am going to set the record straight since you brought your anger and drama into the chatroom yourself:

Yes, I did it...but for an entirely different reason. I was concerned for the other person involved because of his career and for him on a personal level as MY FRIEND. He made the choice to tell you what I said to him IN CONFIDENCE. That was my bad in trusting him. And also for the record: get your facts straight...I had a chance at IT way before I ever mentioned YOU.

Sometimes the stones get tossed at the glass house from the outside, but it still does not shatter.
