Your Favorite desert....please share

Personally I must say I go for a Key Lime pie or Pecan Pie.

But the most major of all would have to be rum cake. Personally that is almost up there with sex.

I've not been to a desert so I don't have a favorite.

My favorite dessert however is Texas sheet cake.

Another Texan! Howdy.
Key Lime pie is great. I'll have to try the Rum cake.
Get a piece of watermelon and squeeze a lime on it.
You will not believe how good that tastes if you've
never tried it before.
I also like a tomato with seasoning salt (yup for dessert)

The rum cake is great. After you cook it add a little spiced rum to it to soak in, wonderful. I made some one time and brought it to work. Everyone was feeling great.

1 cup (225 ml) chopped pecans (walnuts)
1 package yellow cake mix (with pudding)
3 eggs
1/2 cup (125 ml) cold water
1/3 cup (80 ml) cooking oil
1/2 cup (125 ml) Bacardi dark rum (80 proof)
1/4 lb (.1 kg) butter
1/4 cup (60 ml) water
1 cup (225 ml) granulated sugar
1/2 cup (125 ml) Bacardi dark rum
Preheat oven to 325 degrees (175 C.).
Grease and flour 10 inch tube pan or 12 cups (2825 ml) bundt pan.
Sprinkle chopped nuts into bottom of pan. Mix cake ingredients and pour over
nut in the pan. Bake 1 hour.
Invert on serving plate.
Glaze: Melt butter in saucepan. Stir in water and sugar. Boil 5 minutes,
stirring constantly.
Remove from heat; add rum.
Spoon and brush (with pastry brush) glaze evenly over top and sides of the cake.
Repeat until all glaze is absorbed into the cake.

Another great one I thought I would share.

Bourbon-Pecan Pumpkin Pie

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
-------- ------------ --------------------------------
3 Egg -- slightly beaten
16 ounces Pumpkin
3/4 cup Brown sugar -- firmly packed
1 1/2 cups Half & half
3 tablespoons Bourbon
1 teaspoon Cinnamon -- ground
1/2 teaspoon Ginger powder
1/4 teaspoon Salt
1 Pie shell, 9" -- unbaked
2 tablespoons Butter
1/4 cup Brown sugar -- firmly packed
1 cup Pecan halves
1/4 cup Bourbon -- divided

Combine eggs, pumpkin, 3/4 cup sugar, half-and-half, 3 tablespoons bourbon, cinnamon, ginger,
and salt; mix well. Pour mixture into the pie shell; bake at 425 for 10 minutes. Reduce heat
to 350, and bake an additional 45 minutes or until set. Set aside to cool. Combine butter
and 1/4 cup brown sugar in a saucepan; cook over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolved.
Add pecans and 2 tablespoons bourbon, stirring to coat. Spoon mixture over the pie. Heat the
remaining bourbon in a saucepan just long enough to produce fumes (do not boil); remove
from heat, ignite, and pour over pie.
Serve pie when flames die down.
