Absolutely Random

You know, sometimes it seems things go by so quickly.

We are just busy watching out for what is just ahead of us that we do not take the time to enjoy where we are. Days go by and we hardly notice them. Life becomes a blur!!

Often it takes some calamity to make us live in the present. Then suddenly we wake up and see all the mistakes we have made. But it is too late to change anything. Think, you are on top of the world. You fall from that great height of the stars. You look down, gasp, and suddenly wake up. Can you change what you'll face when you land? The only thing comes to mind is, "What did I do wrong?" You wonder if your life will flash before your eyes.

The world, it is like a game of cricket, a one-day game. Life is like an inning being played by the chasing team. As if life isn't short enough, so much that one wonders where in the world I put all my glorious past. As if life were not long enough, one thought there was never enough time to do all the ``nothing'' she wanted. Sometimes one should just look at things and think about things, without doing things. Yes, That is doing ``nothing''! Finally, I've found some time out of my not so long life to do ``nothing'' but just contemplate. Wait! Is contemplation nothing? I guess it is something. So I'm not doing ``nothing''. Damn! I'm not good enough to be able to do ``nothing''. I wonder what it takes to do ``nothing''. Never found an example from the glorious history of human race of some person who did ``nothing'' for whole his life. Even our history is not good enough to produce such an example!

So on that one great day, I was doing ``nothing'' but thinking about my ``glorious'' past, or so I thought. I thought about my friends, my acquaintances, my friends, foes, this world, politics, weapons of mass destruction, sports, animals, blogs... In short any other thing that ever existed on the planet. I could produce many examples where I found my ruined life to be better than many others. I reached the conclusion that my life is bad, but it could have been worse.

I have some health problems but I also have all my senses working.

My house is kind of shabby but it keeps the rain and cold out.

I am financially insecure but unexplainably happy.

Didn't Thoreau do "nothing"?
