Should women have equal rights?

Are women truly capable of everything that a man is?

I do not believe men are better then women and anyone who has read my writings knows I love women a great deal. Every now and again I have to wonder why it was that men in older times did not allow women equal rights.

I know that women can physically handle what a man can and yet they can not handle it. One of the most common things that happen to female athletes is that it will drastically alter her menstrual cycle or totally destroy it. This presents to me that women do not have the ability to always keep up with a man unless she is willing to drastically alter her natural body. In the eyes of god, this probably would not be allowed, and seeing how many churches act… it supports that.

Women today are often not pure when they first have sex. Technically a woman is still a virgin until a penis has penetrated her vagina. Medically however, she is no longer a virgin the moment her hymen breaks. Most women who are active in sports today end up breaking their hymen accidentally and very easily.

Once again we see that a woman can not compete with a man unless she alters her natural body.

Given that religious people believe that a woman should be a virgin and a virgin with a hymen intact still, then it is no wonder they do not allow women the rights to everything that they allow a man to.

For a woman to physically do what most men do, it requires some significant changes to her body that violate her body because it is different from what natures intention was for.

Anyway, I do not share this opinion but I am just taking mental notes on why some religious groups and men of older times might have disallowed women the same rights.

If it were not for these two primary and undeniable facts then I don’t think women would have had many of the troubles within society as they have had.

We have also seen women be just as sexually unfaithful as men are. Many women claimed that it was men who were pigs for a long time but ever since the equal rights movement’s women have been just as sexually unfaithful as men have. Divorce statistics show that over the last few years, women have committed adultery more then men. Those are solely based off the known cases though. As we all know there is a lot of adultery that happens that no one ever knows about.

I hope people will add to this. This is not a debate about women's rights. This is strictly a list of possible reasons that women were not allowed equal rights.

Simple really, men want control over what scares them. Men and their need for sex depends mainly on women and if you look around on this site you can see that for yourself. If a woman is kept in her place, then it is less likely she will leave home, screw around, whatever. My last boyfriend called me "nymph" in such a degrading way so often that I started to think that there was somthing wrong with me for even thinking a sexual thought. There was nothing wrong with it when he wanted to have sex though.

Or maybe it was just the natural instinct of those in power to remain in power. If you look back you'll find that people were not given equal rights based on race, religion, socio-economic status, birth, etc., etc. It all has to do with maintaining power. Any reason given is just an excuse.
