Interesting material...

I see that there are some people who like reading about history. Some like reading about sex as well.

I obviously study both of those subjects although my primary studying of history is more on the combat and weapons aspects as well as the code of conduct knights underwent.

I figured I would mention a few titles that some of you might enjoy. Not all of my books are instructional, to be honest… my favorite ones actually are not instructional in any kind of way. I like reading about the philosophies more then I do the actual techniques, but I do read and study both.

O ‒ The intimate history of the orgas* (2004)

Probably one of my favorite books. Written by a former author for time magazine (if I remember correctly). It gives a detailed list of how sex was looked at by different cultures and how it changed over the last several thousand years. It is pretty long and I still have not read it all. It is divided by time and culture so I have gone through and read the part about India and the Chinese since I like Tao Tantra and Kamasutra so much. It gives very specific dates and includes a lot of excerpts and such. I have found it to be very impressive and well done.

The Compleat Gentleman (2004)

A modern translation of chivalry in the 21st century. It gives some good history and comparisons of how knights acted back then and how they should act now. It addresses the fact that a man can not actually be a gentlemen “all” the time and is not actually expected to be “all” the time.

I have to look on my bookshelf, I know there are a few more. I want to make sure I get the title correct though. I shall add to this list as I look at them more closely.
