Blogs and Comments

There always seems to be an issue surrounding comments on the blogs…

I have to disagree with the fact that comments make the blogs what they are…

Blogging and writing in general is a way of expression. Whether people comment or not should not have absolutely anything at all to do with people continuing to blog.

I agree that a lot of people do in fact comment to virtually ever comment that a person posts. I normally comment to each comment separately if they are placed slowly. If I log on though and there are 4 or 5 comments already there then I try to keep my comment to one and respond to all 4 within it.

I think comments normally are obtained through poorly written blogs. The more thorough a blog is then the less likely it is to get many comments. Even when those comments are placed it is normally a “great job” or something similar and not really a conversation.

You also have to remember that there is no popular list for women because women already receive 40% to 60% more views then most men combined. Women dominate so much of the popular lists as is so creating a popular female blogs list is pretty useless. If you look close many of the popular female bloggers will get 500+ views a post within 30 minutes of the post being placed. Some are several thousand by the time 12 hours pass. Given the amount of comments they receive though you can tell that only maybe 2% of their readers actually post comments. Many of their blogs have 15,000 or more views and only have 20 to 40 comments.

A lot of women post about sexual experiences and thus the comments they receive are often short and not very sweet. Men love something they can masturbate to though and that is exactly what many of the women give them. They don’t need a girlfriend when they can read all the explicit adventures of many of the women here.

Some people post quotes and favorites and such. These are really the best blogs because they can start a conversation and they reveal a lot about the blogger.

I think in general that people care too much about comments. If people do not comment then a lot of people just stop blogging because they only want to blog if popular. My comments have dropped drastically over the last month because of telling some other bloggers how I feel about their blogging antics and how they lie at times and stretch the truth at others. Regardless of how few comments I get, I keep blogging anyway because it is a great way for me to express myself. Popularity has nothing to do with it, and never has.

I have to applaud any man that can keep even one quarter of the comments that the women do though because the women have a severe advantage. A man who gets a lot of comments shows he must be a darn good writer.

That is exactly what writing is supposed to be about, expression. There are many here who really only blog in order to get noticed and get more possible meetings though. There are others who just like being one of the top members. I will fall off that list eventually and I will still keep on writing.

i had a similar passing thought...although i have never found a blog that i had to say i didnt like...sometimes i just dont post...other times im just browsing through....but i leave comments where i feel i should....some quick...few choice words...and others...deep...heavy thoughts....

I THINK YOU ARE A DAMN GOOD WRITER....and it shows...not really by the comments you get...just my the things you post...self expressions should never be triggered by the likeness of others...its great to admire good thoughts...but the drive....the passion of writing your hearts desires...that comes from within....sometimes it helps to know that others understand what you are going does help to know that your thoughts have touched someone enough for them to say anything....i applaud anyone who can speak their mind..freely and honestly...and keep an open mind about how things should work!

for me...when someone comments...i wait awhile...if nothing..i comment again if need be...if a few has made a mark....i wait..and address them all in one comment.... sometimes i have a few comments on my own blog...dont want to let people feel left i was ignoring me it doesnt matter...i write for me...if someone says something great....if not..then i wont throw a fit!!! i will just write again...with the same get my thoughts out!

live more, laugh often, love much
