Looks like another boring birthday tomorrow

My birthdays are always so incredibly boring these days. My 30th birthday my friends were all out of town for vacation or work. I sat home alone and got drunk. My 40th birthday I had just lost a job and I sat home alone and got drunk. My 50th birthday I was in the hospital having surgery.

I was supposed to be meeting someone tomorrow that I've been chatting with for a while now. He disappeared on Monday.

My best friend got a bug up her ass about something a few weeks ago and isn't speaking to me.

I'm supposed to be going out of state to meet someone over the weekend. I found out last night that he may have to go out of town of work and I'll have to cancel my trip.

Tomorrow is my birthday again and I guess I should just stop at the liquor store on my way home so I can stay home alone and get drunk?

Don't spend it alone. If you can't find friends, take yourself out to dinner and maybe a movie. Go out and enjoy yourself. If you stay home and let it be boring it will be boring. Go out and meet people, have a drink for me, get a Mike's hard lemonade. They don't let me have fun anymore and Happy Birthday!

Who won't let you have fun? That's not fair. So far my day has been a lot better than I expected! Thanks for the thoughts though.

Happy Birthday to you....Happy Birthday to you....Happy Birthday dear Nice Chest (since I do not know your name) Happy Birthday to you!

Worry not, hop on the Metra and head towards downtown, then catch the Ravenswood over to Addison and catch a CUB game. Nothing cheers me up like Wrigley Field! Either that, or give me a call and I will do my Harry Caray impression for ya! lol. "Get the smelly cigar outta here Steve." Happy Birthday and see ya in the funny pages!

You've been to this area! I'm actually only 2 blocks from the Metra and those are terrific directions too. However, by the time I got off work and saw your suggestion, they were in the second inning of game two (winning 3-0) After losing game 1 10 to2 to Arizona. Wrigley Field is a great place to relax. I knew I had a good reason to call in sick. Wish I had thought of it yesyerday. The rain has stopped and the tem has dropped about 20 degrees so it would have been a perfect day to go.

And thanks for the song.

By the way, my name is Vickie.

Hi (again),

Happy Birthday! You don't have to spend it alone. If you'd like to come over tonight, I'd LOVE to HAVE you!

Talk to you soon.

Actually today at work was not too bad (check my next blog in a few) and the kid is cooking dinner too.

Thanks for the offer though.

Vickie,

I grew up on the North shore off Clark and Granville. My cousins lived in Mt. Prospect for years. Grandpa and my brothers are still in the city. Hope you have a great birthday! Love your chest.

Shooter

nothing wrong with getting drunk alone, as long as you don't feel sorry for yourself, Happy Birthday...
