Answer to the Guessing Contest

I'm surprised at how many people actually guessed the right answer! A whopping 2... I expected more votes for the $1,000 grant.
Yes, it's true. I have a cyst. It's in my jaw and it formed from one of my wisdom teeth. My wisdom teeth operation will now consist also of sucking out the cyst (while trying to avoid hitting the nerve that runs right through the center of it and leaving my lip permanently numb) and scraping off some of the surrounding bone. And trying not to break my jaw. Hurrah! Never a dull moment in my mouth!

Chuckles at the mention of "Never a dull moment in my mouth!" I hope your extraction of your wisdom teeth goes off without any major complications.

hey devi what kinda dentist is doing the procedure? as a doc this does not sound like a routine wisdom tooth extraction and if being planned by a general dentist i would reccomend getting an opinion from an oral surgeon. he may say no biggie any dentist can do that but i would make sure. if i can answer any questions or be of any help at all don't hesitate to let me know.

I totally hear ya. I'm definitely going to an oral surgeon; my dentist took an X-ray of my mouth almost a year ago and didn't mention the giant hole in my jaw. I don't think he could find his ass with an atlas. My oral surgeon, though, pointed out the cyst, and he seems very down-to-earth and knows what he's doing. Thanks for the advice!
