Driving a Fuzzy Slipper

Wow.. it's a fantastic day outside today!!!

Yesterday, I managed to get a super present for my boy's graduation. I took a humongous truck to the city. It's one of those super cab trucks, with a long box. When I first started driving the truck I was thinking, "Ok, this is not going to be fun. It's such a big truck I'll never find any where to park."

I managed to drive it all over the city. No accidents.. no problems...

On the way home, the curved part of the truck seat cuddled my back. My back was never happier..
All the way home it reminded me of being snuggled and cuddled by a nice, really BIG slipper..

What was the present???
Well, it's something my boy will love but most of us have no use for. It's a huge tool storing center. Stainless steel and all that.. My boy is graduating from grade 12. And not only that, but the truck that he put a new motor in, actually works!!!!. The power windows work.. the air conditioning works..the radio works..I couldn't be prouder... He deserves a good tool storing center. I'm hiding it at the neighbors til graduation.. shhh

Yes, it was on sale!

One nice thing about driving a big truck is that some people get out of your way when they see you coming. I just wish the home improvement places near me had paid a little more attention to truck length when laying out their parking lots. I've got a long bed, extended cab, and it needs about 1.25 spaces of length to fit, plus a lot of aisle space to back out safely. It's a 4x4, 3/4 ton heavy duty, so has a blind spot dead astern that you can hide a small car in.

Congratulations to the graduate!

well I don't know if you need to know that really... but when my wife buys something expensive she always tells me how much she saved before she tells me how much it cost sneeky huh?

I agree with space cadet. My son-in-law's car was "backed over" by a large Pacifica SUV. It was so big with such a big blind spot that the driver didn't see Brian in his little cavalier, and backed up, right onto his hood!

I'm sure your son will love your present. It will be a big surprise. Also congrats to the new graduate!!!
