Bleh Bleh Bleh

Bleh.. who needs all this work anyways.. My daughter suggested I have a party for her and for my boy, so I went ahead and cleaned the house and made lots and lots of food.. and now I'm exhausted, sore throat, and coughing...and the day isnt even here yet.

Supposedly, 60 people are coming.. at least they were invited.. they didnt RSVP.

Next time, no grad party. It's too much work. Too few people helping me...
Now that the big day is almost here I'm going to be too tired to enjoy it and i'll probably cry all the way through it.. Silly me...I hafta say, the house looks pretty darn good. The yard has a few glitches, as in the hedge didn't get trimmed.. and not all the grass got cut. But doggone it.. we tried.

I have to remember that the whole point of having a party is to have fun, to meet people, to enjoy being with them... and also to try to forget that my boy is going to an all night party where there is way too much booze.

Maybe I need one of these pink things to make me feel better, to relieve stress, to help me sleep at night.. What the heck is that pink thing anyways...lol

Maybe someone to kiss and nibble your throat would help sooth it?

You deserve a treat yourself for all that work...the minimum being a long soak in your favorite bath salts, a few scented candles, a little Nora Jones playing in the background, a glass of wine... Dr. Cozy can write the prescription, you just have to be a good patient!

Relax. The party will be a hit!
Hugs,
Cozy

Linds

These parties have a way of turning out well in the end. Don't worry about the hedge not being trimmed. If 60 people show up, or 50, or 45, it doesn't really matter. What DOES matter is that you enjoy each other's company.

If people enjoy themselves with good food and a relaxed atmosphere (as best you can) they will remember what went well, and will probably not even notice the hedge.

On the other hand, if the hedge is manicured perfectly, but you are tense and eveyone gets uptight, they will not remember the good food and the nice weather.

Take some time for yourself today. Don't worry about the hedge and the uncut grass. In the greater scheme of things, they just do not matter. On a list of importance from 1 to 100, they are #99, and that is only because I am sure there must be something even less important.

Enjoy the day, and tell your son how proud you are of him.
