Danger: open heart/closed heart!

How dangerous is an open heart??

Sometimes when your emotions are so far out there you tend to feel like a display. Being totally vulnerable and completely blind to the fate of tomorrow can have such an overpowering effect on your state of mind. Not to mention the turmoil your soul has to go through. What is it like to have such an open heart? How does a heart even get that open? What does it mean to have an open heart? How open is too open? Or is there even such a thing? Can an open heart be categorized?

Can your heart be different for family and friends?? Even lovers??

Does a stronger heart makes it easier to be open??

By Taking risks you put yourself out there so is it worth it if you find your heart content or not??

Sometimes you can be caught off guard by hidden motives….A wolf in sheep’s clothes…that sort of thing!!

Isn’t feeling better than not? The challenge is learning how to channel the feelings to be what you want….be alert and be on guard….

I often think what it feels like to have an open heart. I find that its in the rollercoaster of life…where I am the fullest in a production. I feel more dynamic and more exciting. I find that in the core is the amount of genuine person I am. Which is why I feel I am soo open!

How does it gets to be an Open heart? I think it hits you!! You suddenly realize it…by thinking and acting on the ways you know how to feel good…the noble heart….

How open is too open? When you cause yourself too much harm….being too open…gullable…like a doormat….or just totally being taken advantage of….

Speaking of all the openness, does it work the same way with a closed heart? A cold heart?

How dangerous is a closed heart? Do you miss out on the finer things? Is it so cold that not even the warmest spark could melt some of the ice? What is it like to have a cold heart? How does a heart grow that closed? How could someone ever reach the point where they could even consider hardening the heart? Closing off all the little moments that mean so much??
A heart can grow cold…or closed for a number of reasons….
Betrayal
Lack of love
Many many hardships

Im not certain if there is an excuse for having a closed heart but I know that it can change. I have seen it in the works. Some people don’t find the way back so easily and some…find themselves on the journey.

A near death experience
Some go through religion
Walking into someone’s life
Or someone walking into your life
Discovering a new talent you have
A new purpose
A child
A friend
A lover…

All these things can “cure” a closed heart…or at least mend it a bit!! Maybe im wrong..or just as confused as when I started!!

I know I have tooo much love inside to ever imagine being cold or growing closed!!

lady sunrise this is a really beautiful post I wear my feelings on my sleeves and if you ever have been to my blog I dont know? but it is evident there with all that I go through how can I not and I think I show people as much love and respect as I can there is enough hostility in the world already and it would be a little better if we did open our hearts a little more and not just around the holidays to make ourselves feel good either but because it is how we genuinely feel cyaroun

yeah, i cannot imagine being closed either, but still it does take an inordinate amount of courage to stay open, and i'm sometimes quite anxious because of it.

Sometimes it is more dangerous to have the heart closed.
I believe that alot of heart dis*ease comes from hearts that
are closed down and hardened to the energies that wish to
flow thru...I also believe that the blood in our body is
representative of joy...and we need joy to flow through our
open hearts for many reasons...

without going on and on...I loved the post...it poses so
many questions of great value...

Be mindful...and open to listen to your spirit as your heart
is open by choice and God will protect you in the process...
Love is the healer...and the heart is the center of it all...

Sending you love, beautiful one...
I have missed reading you... {=}

Just a little food for thought.............
If you really want to be happy, nobody can stop you...

I LOVED this post! Here is how I deal with this (noting that no two people are alike):

Years ago when I studied meditation, one exercise (oh I already know this is gonna sound new agey weird; it's not, really) that the guy taught us was the psychic fire, where we visualized a fire surrounding us the purpose of which was to zap bad vibes. Anyway, I amended this exercise to fit "me" and that was to be something that sort of burnished negativity (incoming AND outgoing) and recycled it into something fresh. It's mostly playing with concepts, but my brain/heart kinda gets the point and behaves accordingly.

The second thing I do is to not look at it as an open or closed heart, but to look at it as "dressing for the weather." If we go outside and it's really cold, we put on a coat. If it's just slightly chilly we may just toss a sweater over our shoulders. And if it's a beautiful sunny day, it's shorts, tank and barefoot time! So while my heart itself may be open, I'm not opposed to letting my brain and intuition adding a protective layer or so, when compelled.

Yeah, I'm still [blog 1hotwahine]
