What would you change?

For the most part I have always been happy with my physical self. Sure there are times when I think I'm fat and ugly, but that usually has more to do with my mood than with my body. I don't think I could ever subject myself to plastic surgery or anything extreme like that - I prefer the old-fashioned diet & exercise routine.

There is one thing that has always bothered me, though. For as long as I can remember I have hated my teeth. Is that a strange thing to say? For the longest time, every time I smiled or laughed I was careful to not show my teeth because I hated them so much! Nobody would call me "snaggle-tooth" or anything like that. Most people complement me on my smile and say it always brightens their day.

I eventually realized that my teeth weren't THAT bad and started smiling like a normal person. Since then I've been able to accept them, but I still don't like my teeth.

I've decided to do something about it. Tomorrow I go to the dentist for my first Invisiline appointment! Invisiline is a teeth-straightening system that uses a series of clear plastic trays to re-position your teeth instead of the traditional metal braces. My family thinks I'm crazy for spending the money and worrying about this at my age, but they understand that it's something I've always wanted - straighter teeth! I'm excited to get this started!!!

So what about you? What's the one physical thing about yourself that you would change if you could?

BTW, the picture on this post is not of me.

I actually am in the process of changing the part that I am most "self-conscience" about is my stomach!! Hey, I know that no matter what, I am thick, and am NEVER gonna be a size 2, and I am ok, with that, but for health issues, I am losing some weight. I am working really hard to tone my breasts, because of their large size, I want to avoid the sag after most of the fat is gone. So if after I lose the weight and my breast aren't what I find sexy, then I would opt for a breast lift to push them up and firm them more!!!

Kisses

Lady

Sincerely, I had my problems with my teeth, too. But now, everything is OK and I wouldn't change anything but my heart! I would like to have a cold stone instead of a warm heart. But that nobody can help me with!

I'd rather be someone else than me.

I hate my smile also. I did the braces things for years. I even had the headset for awhile. My smile is crooked and it just doesn't look right. I don't know how to smile.

I would get rid of the ugly stretch marks that came with having children. I am proud of them, but they do get on my nerves.

Good luck with the dentist!!

I too hate my teeth. I was told when i was younger that i was going to need braces, but never got them, i never thought i needed them. My teeth look ok, but i have Vampire Fangs, a few people get a kick out of them, but i hate them, i can remember asking the dentist to file them down for me once.

I too like you stopped smiling, because i didn't want people to see my teeth, but i have gotten over that. People tell me that i have a nice smile, but i still dont know. My current profile pic is great, my smile looks good, probably cause its from a distance, but close up, i hate it! I might do something about it one day.

Lady: Congrats for taking control of your health! I wish you lots of strength and persistence towards your goal because you are great and need to be here as long as possible! If you need encouragement or just someone to talk with then let me know!

Dark Cat: Why would you rather have a stone cold heart? I can't imagine the goose-bumps that would come along with one!

Jeepidiot: I think you're great as you are, but who would you rather be? I bet you looked sexy in that headset!!!!

firestarter: From what I can tell you are a beautiful woman - with or without the stretch marks!

sohorny: You have a beautiful smile!!! If you'd like I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow.

norprin: You know, I always wanted to be 6" tall. I never made it, either! What a mean mom for preventing you from reaching your goal!

Oh nice. You're mocking me aren't you. Is this about that "Old Maid" comment?

No Waaaaaaaaaay I'm telling! As for my teeth, they are crooked and coffee stained. I think it gives me character and smile as often as possible.

Teeth here too. They're not attrocious. Like you, I simply am usatisfied with them. I talked to my dentist during my last cleaning(January). Seems the two best alternatives are veneers or braces. Off the cuff I was deadset against braces. But having sat on it for a while, now I'm not so sure.
