Getting Ready for Another Go-Round

So it's a fact of life: plans don't always work out. That's okay, though. I believe that if you want something bad enough then you can achieve it. The key? Not giving up!

"If at first you don't succeed..."

I'm on my way to a healthier life in general. I've actually put quite a bit of thought into all of this! I researched my personal nutritional needs and put together a work-out plan specifically for me. I'm eating better and moving more (aka exercising), and I've been doing this for more than just a couple of days now. I've got a good thing going here...

That brings us to my smoking habit. To be honest, it's not going so well. I've lost the little bit of progress that I did make. Do not despare! All hope is not lost! There is a silver lining - and new theory - here.

As my nutritional health improves, I expect to feel the effects outwardly. For instance, I expect to have more energy and be more alert. This will help keep me on track with exercising. As my physical health improves, I expect to see and feel these effects, too. I expect to have stronger muscles, better muscle tone, less fat, and more energy.

With all of the above mentioned progress, I expect to have an easier time putting down the cigarettes for good. It's just wrong to spend thirty minutes to an hour working out only to light up a cigarette immediately following. The more intense my workouts become, the more important proper lung function will be - and the poor condition of my lungs will be much more noticeable. This is my new approach to quitting.

"... try, try again!"

Baby steps, people. Baby steps!

I would like to thank everyone for their support. I feel so special knowing that you are thinking of me and rooting for me! It means more to me than I can explain...

You got the right attitude.

Wish I could embrace you and give you more than just remote help, but I believe in you....

Go for it.. If there's ever anything I can do, let me know...

Much appreciated, but you're doing exactly what I need. This is something I need to do for myself - no hand holding!

Seriously though - Thank You!

i understand no hand holding.... But how about a work out partner. I need to hit the excercise and weight room. I am at the weight I want, but would like more muscle tone. Are you willing to join our forces and attack this excercise issue together?
