Coming from a 1st class card carrying loon I can only take that as a compliment. Takes one to know one I always say.

Apparently ruthlessly edited out of the movie. I wonder if it made the director's cut on the DVD. Also a great name for an appetizer on a restaurant menu.

What happened is that the oatmeal companies refused to pay the exorbitant product placement fees askwed for by the production company for Oliver Twist so that whole segment ended up on the cutting room floor.

Actually just as I was about to prepare some custom burrito mix filler with a refried bean base my dad was preparing some oatmeal and my brain child here was hatched.

And now I'm left with the burning question of...

is it actually possible to buy a bona fide Boston burrito? Never having been there I have no idea how prevalent genuine mexican "hole in the wall" cuisinie outlets might be there. Hopefully it's beyond the Taco Bell and Del Taco franchise level at this point. But I know the chances might be low if there is not a lot of low wage, migrant farm work or landscaping/gardening for hire work available in that area.

In my last drive across the continent I only began getting a lot of mexican radio around the Wichita Kansas area. But sadly was still hard pressed to find a good genuine Wichita burrito. So yes, I'd like a Boston Burrito please. You can't say the place don't got beans!

In your neck of the woods "chips" are often what we United Statesians call "french fries" ( or more recently "freedom fries" ). Do they even have Mexican style corn chips in Ireland?

Actually I think they actually do but they are a rare find. On off the lowere tributaries of Grafton St. in Baile Átha Cliath my brother and I ate at an Irish "Mexican Restaurant" once. The food all looked proper. Didn't taste proper though. Not even close!

But we appreciated that someone had at least tried.

You could actually use an otmeal cookie as a chip to scoop up some bean dip!!!!
