From the Cutting Room Floor

Alternate Takes and Layers Usually Not Seen

Here's a view into some of the versions and changes this thing went through but is only a select few of many more.

That top one is the "borderline supernova" version with max exaggeration pumped into that phony sunlike star. The brown bubble/spheroid layer is the orignal one generated and the origiinal face had to be reintroduced after that one sort of obliterated it. The weird psychedelic-like one is the used for the final bubble coloring layer. That one also murdered the face too so it had to be reintroduced yet again.

Anyway some tidbit of insight into the creative and technical process of this thing coming together.

It's always cool to see the process.

Hey bulgingboy,

It's nice to see you again.

I did not know what an abatoir was so for most of the day I subbed the word 'albatross' in there just for fun and thgought of gaint sea birds who make the goofiest looking landings imaginable.

Abatoir - interchangable with 'slaughterhouse'

I did see a Swedish made film by some guy named Jan Troel once and in it they showed a far too graphic depiction of a wild wolf being dissected. I'm happy I don't work at the meat factory.

Hi Christabel,

Yes this was one of those times where the work simply went effortlessly and whichever direction I turned seemed to yeild a nice result. If only all my creative endeavors went this easily.

Sometimes I think I've got a great idea but the more I wrestle with it it continues to defy where I expected it to go. This wasn't one of those times.
