So I don't get it, in the last two weeks I've gotten 33 flirts, but 29 of the profiles are inactive. How does that even work? I mean they're not even active seconds after the little alert comes up!

So I'm off again for work, but only for a night this time. Off to PA for a day of training then back. It's not the worst thing I could be doing outside of the office, just not the most fun.

Maybe I'll make this trip a little more fun somehow...

Where's the rain?

I have been hearing thunder for about an hour now. I can see the storm clouds a bit north of here, but no rain on my head. I could gladly use the rain since I decided to not wash my car when I saw the rain clouds. Why does nature hate me?

So, in the last three relationships I've been in, all three women have offered something similar to me, and I've never seen it. I just think it's odd. Maybe they're just trying to hold me into it for some reason or maybe they're honestly trying to make it happen but it never works out or something. What is that thing you may ask... A threeway.

No, usually it's the guy pushing for that (stereotypically of course), but each of my last three partners has wanted to introduce another person to the mix. All of them being openly bi was nice, but I never got my hopes up. I never pushed it, whenever it came up I would enthusiastically agree and suggest we make it happen. One even got so far as to try and talk one of her friends (who she had already slept with many times) to join us. But never sealed the deal.

I never felt the need to add another person, but I'd never turn it down either. I just wonder, were they offering me this because they thought I'd leave if I didn't think they were freaky enough? I mean, I like to have fun in the bedroom/living room/office/shower/other random location (some of which even have restraints in the right places), but I never asked for it to start with. So what do you think? Did they feel the need to keep up, or were they being genuine in the proposal?

I also realized that my profile was a little out of date and updated it today. No wonder nobody ever wrote to me, I think I wrote that like 5 years ago and it wasn't even like who I am anymore. Wow.

I haven't been good about posting latel.... well ever really. Maybe because I don't document my sex life, maybe because I don't really have much to blog about. Either way, it's ok I guess. I should blog more. Be more active on the site. That's my new goal, be more active on here.

So expect at the least to see some more comments from me on other people's blogs, even if they're not too in depth. I always contemplated writing some stories to post, but I'm not terribly good at that, so we'll see if I ever do.

Anyway, just posting to post today. I'll try to be more useful tomorrow.

I'm headed to Chicago for a few days at the end of August. I'd love to meet up with someone there, get some drinks and chat, maybe have some more fun if it goes there.

What comes before Part-B?

So New Years Eve is fast at hand, and just before I came to sit down and blog I checked on the keg that's happily conditioning away for the party. 8.5 gallons of my "New Years Buzz Bock" which is a nice dark lager with a coffee kick to it. It's going to be one hell of a party. (That's the answer to the question, BTW... Part-A.)

It should be a good time. First time I'll be able to attend this particular party, which I've been told from years past is "Legendary." At least I'll be with friends this year; not working (though I'll be mixing up drinks and cooking breakfast, but voluntarily not because I have to), not spending the night with my family because I decided to spend 10 days visiting, and not at my own place where I have to stay half sober so I can keep the real drunks from driving off and killing themselves. Woot! Party time!!!

The only things to take care of between now and then:
1. Sharpen knives... not that they need it, but make sure everything is in tip top shape.
2. Prime the keg... blow off the first two glasses to clear the sediment and drop the pressure to a serving level.
3. Find the perfect outfit... Got to dress to impress while still being comfortable, and still be able to cook in it.
4. Relax... It's my time off, why am I making lists?!?!

Now to get this computer doing what I want it to!

End of the year

Here it is nearing the close of 2007. It's been a good year: good grades at school, no problems with work, lined up my internship for next summer (had that interview today and got offered the job on the spot! Hooray.) Relationships have been a bit on the light side (understatement of the year), but except for the last few weeks, I really haven't felt bad about it. And now only because New Years Eve will come and I'll have nobody to kiss at midnight. That's just me being selfish though. All in all, a good year.

Well I'm back from vacation.
And I need a vacation from my vacation. Now I don't have any issues with my family. I love them, and I love visiting them, but I never sleep well there. I'm always restless, and I can't release my tension and relax there. It's my parent's house, but not the house I grew up in so it's not my old room where as a I discovered myself sexually and felt comfortable...

I also had the worst travel problems ever (at least that I've had to deal with personally), which amazingly didn't overshadow the trip. On the way out the computers were down in Boston so they had to check people in one flight at a time and record everyone on paper, which went easily enough and I thought nothing about. Getting through security was nice since all the backup was at the ticket counters instead of security. Drank myself silly as I spent 3 hours in Newark before heading to Omaha. All in all not a bad flight out. Coming back on the other hand was a little less fun. Since the computers were down in Boston on the way out, I never "checked in" for my trip, so they refunded/canceled my reservations for my return trip! Oh noes!
After trying to explain to the counter rep that I didn't miss the flights out, but that the computers had been down in Boston that day, and waiting as he got on the phone to the national people or something, he finally got it straightened out. Of course this was 30 minutes that I wasn't using to pass through security. Once it's settled and my bags are checked in, I run (quite literally, and it was a feat with my camera bag in one hand and my coffee in the other) up to security. Except there's a huge line and no way to get through it quickly. I can see the gate I need to use just on the other side and they're boarding!!! AHHH!!!
Work my way through the line and end up at the gate, ask if I made it, and they let me on closing the door behind me. Phew, that was close, it should be smooth sailing from here. Not today.
We got away from the gate and went to de-icing (it was 13 degrees and snowing in Omaha this morning). Wait for a little while, then get cleaned off and cleared for takeoff and boom, we're flying. Off to Newark. Where my 1 hour layover just turned into a 30 minute layover for the de-icing delays. No big deal, I think.
We get to Newark and I run across two terminals (C to A) to get to my flight home. Apparantly I ran faster than my luggage, because even though I made the connection, again just by the skin of my teeth, just to wait 80 minutes on the tarmac in line to take off in the rain. I get to Logan to wait for my luggage and not find it. Now I've got a train to catch that I was barely going to make anyway, without having to wait for paperwork, tracking, or whatever else they were going to make me deal with.
Quickly deal with the paperwork to get them to bring me my bag, run for the T, and thankfully one of my neighbors was in the city working today when he was supposed to have the day off, and I caught a ride back with him since I had missed the commuter rail I wanted and was going to have to wait another hour for the next. Around 1 this morning my luggage arrived, and I unpacked my new coffee grinder and French press so I can use them in the morning! Yay!

But despite the lack of sleep and horrors of airline travel, I've had a good few days, how about you?

My winter vacation is here! And not a moment too soon.

I'll bee off for a few days, as without school, work, or responsibility that means sleep, drinking and flying out to Nebraska to see my family. I'll be back before New Years, in case anyone's keeping track.

I'm exhausted, getting sick, and mostly miserable. Time for bed early tonight.
