Scorpio Muse, Child of Sunlight

It shouldnt come as any surprise to anyone that men who work at mediums that some call art frequently become obsessed with a particular woman. Its always been that way with me and like most of my kind I have had that heady experience with many models, often without physical sexual contact.

It can be the way she carries herself as she walks, holds herself as she bends to retreive a fallen object, smiles at a child, or reaches to cover herself with a hand. A motion or a pose containing in it the expectancy of motion, or a suspension of an emotion, creates an image that can fix in the mind of an artisan so inclined and burn there until only through the creation of its facsimile in one form or another can he regain himself.

That is how it has been for me on occasions that I fear have been far too few and which I value greatly.

A woman who can create this reaction deserves the name Muse and deserves as much recognition as the artisan who renders her in paint, or marble, or bronze.

Why else would we stand fascinated before the Pieta, the Mona Lisa, the Venus di Milo, to single out only a few. To look at these two scultures in marble and that single oil is to look through the art, through the artist, to the image that he witnessed and gave physical form to, and to the very woman who inspired him.

Furthermore, I confess that when one uncovers the Muse she has the power to drive a chap into a frenzy of work that is often very rewarding if that increased productivity and higher quality of expression can translate into better sales figures in the galleries.

She gives and usually takes nothing from the exchange, for the Muse phenomenon is not truly an economic transaction, albiet possibly one that may involve small payments to a model.

While I do not compare my own work in any way to that of giants like Leonardo and Michaelangelo, I can claim a minor kinship with them through having also experienced the Muse a few times so far in my life.

The last place I expected to encounter her was AdultFriendFinder. My reasons for joining are as unfathomable to me as most things that I do; I know nevertheless that I was certainly not expecting to discover her here among so many cock pictures and all of the gynocological webcam shots. In no way was my interest motivated even slightly by any artistic interest.

It was with wonder then that I sat in a chatroom and watched a woman sit quietly before her webcam as soft morning light filtered by her curtains fell across her face and body. Something strongly stirred between my ears with greater speed than that villian that always stirs between my legs at the sight of an attractive woman often as not getting me into more trouble than I need.

Before you could have counted to ten, I had soft warm wax in my hands and had started fashioning her form. Then, seeking better and clearer images I checked her profile. Wonder of wonders. She had superb pictures and one in particular caught my attention. The arch of her back in that pose carried a pure dose of Muse potion. I lay aside the first attempt, started throwing chunks of warm soft microcrystaline wax together to roughly follow the contours of her picture, and started getting into detail.

Soon I had exhausted the limits of that photograph. I approached her , or that is to say I spoke to her in the chatroom, some days later and asked her if she would like to see what I had been doing. I sent her pictures of the work in progress. She seemed delighted, promised me more pictures that have since arrived, and I have been sculpting nothing but her since.

Now I have three almost complete individual models of her in wax. Soon I will continue the slow and often risky process that began with the creation of the piece in wax. Initially I will make a master mould in a pliant rubber-like compound from which I will create many more copies in wax. To these I shall add wax risers and runners so that when the piece is ultimately poured, air and gases can escape the moulds and leave the sculpts clear and unflawed.

Then my trusty one-eyed Irish Aussie foundryman will take each wax reproduction and apply a concoction that I shall not disclose, fire the whole piece in a large kiln, melting out the wax to leave a hopefully perfect ceramic mould into which we will later pour the molten bronze. It doesnt end there. Each casting will need to be poured, cooled, broken free of its mould/s and the risers and runners cut away, ground and grinded and sanded until all surfaces have exactly the texture that I intended, then sit until enough of its sisters are also ready so that we can apply a final patina to give her depth and color.

Thus she makes the journey from AdultFriendFinder chatroom to a dozen galleries.

For those of you who are interested, I have posted a picture of one of the pieces (still in wax and not completed in detail) beside this post below two pictures of the muse herself, a very pleasant english lady who uses the nickname Scorpio_Lady_69 .

Scorpio, my most sincere thanks.

Thank to you also readers for your patience in reading this bloody long blog

Gnome how well u sum up your urge to create - the artistic urge which is sometimes as consuming and frenzied as lust but pure as early morning spring sunshine - i am honoured and flattered that it was I who struck you in this way - became your source of inspiration "muse" - incidentally a model does profit from being a source of inspiration - the venus di milo - mona lisa are truly immortalised their form captured for all time. This is by far the most flattering compliment anyone could ever have paid me. I wont be caming on the site again because any other form of flattery both sincere and insincere pales into insignificance. The ultimate compliment has been given by someone on the other side of the globe whom i have never had the pleasure of meeting face to face.

Forever yours Scorpio X
