Discourteous people.

How many of you have taken the time to build a level of friendship with people over the phone and PC? Then set a time and date to meet and have the other party not show up or even call to cancel?

This has happened twice now. I was supposed to meet a guy at a local restaurant that was very interested in my wife, but this guy never showed. And the other night, we made arangements for one of our "friends" to come over for the evening. My wife and I spent time getting things right and he never showed. Not even a phone call, in either case.

Well I believe the best thing to do is scratch'em and go on.

It has happened to me more than once and I do exactly that. No second chances, no buts about it. The only acceptable excuse is death of said contact. May be a tough stand, but hey, my time off is rare and if something is planned, I don't make alternate plans just in case. So scratch them off the list and find a replacement.

I'm with you. I'm on here to chat and meet real people. I've always been respectful towards others on the site. But for some reason too many people out here think it's just OK to blow you off! Hey if you're not for real then go somewhere else!

I can understand the frustration as people never cease to amaze me. You are right in the decision that if they do not have the common courtesy to tell you they do not want to meet, or can't meet, then they should be written off. I am sure there are people on here that do want to actually meet "real" people.
