Jinxed again!

Just like when I bought my gas guzzling sport-ute before the gas prices went up or when I changed my phone plan to get a cell phone that had a $50 rebate and a month later it was a freebie. Or how about when I was showing off about I had never had a speeding ticket to my friends and when I left, I peeled out, sped and was shortly thereafter pulled over by the 5.0...just in the line of sight of my friends that were rolling around, dying in laughter!

So, to continue my lucky streak, I chose to brag here on AdultFriendFinder about my waterbed and how I was stuck in the 80's with it and was going to stay that way and how my shit didn't stink and I was better than y'all for still having it (just kidding on those last two parts!). I touted how it was great for sex and it was always warm and nice (note the past tense...big clue right there on where I'm heading!). I said I was going to keep it for years, maybe even decades.

Well...It popped! Just friggin figures! I don't know why this shit always happens to me like this but you would think I would have known better by now not to show off.

So, after sleeping on the couch last night, looking forward to another night there, and being cranky and tired all day, I have to contemplate what I am going to do now about a bed. I patched it but I'm not comfortable with it and frankly, I'm just turned off by the whole thing now.

Also, I know NOTHING about beds. All I do know is from a 20/20 report years ago about how new mattresses are not really new and when they cut them open, there were bed bugs, beetles and tons of dust and garbage in them. I'm scared!

Any bed/mattress tips? Sealy? Serta? What should I get? What shouldn't I get? Any ideas?

I'm tired now and I'm going to go lay down. I really don't want to go check on the bed to see if it has leaked anymore. Maybe if I ignore it long enough, it'll go away. One could hope!

We feel for you man...we had a waterbed when we first got married and we understand and mourn your loss.

Good luck with finding the right one for you...we hear the sleep number bed is awesome!

LOL...you completely have my luck!!! One weekend I was working and a friend (and co-worker) or mine got pulled over for speeding. That was on a Saturday...I called her shortly thereafter to make fun of her. The NEXT day I went home on my lunchbreak and, on my way back to work, got clocked 20 miles over the posted speed limit. I was pulled over and let go w/ a warning, but I heard about it for the rest of the night. That's what I get for teasing her, I guess. *lol*

Sorry about the bed...good luck finding a new mattress. I haven't bought a new mattress in years, so I really couldn't tell you what to look for. Really depends on what you like...firm, soft, etc.

I've heard that the Sleep Number is good from others too. I dunno what I'll get. With the Sleep Number, I can have soft, firm or whatever whenever I feel like it. But $$$?

Maybe I'll just settle for a Serta. One with lots of certification and inspection tags so I know it's ligit!

EMS: Wanna come over and jump on it with me to break it in? Maybe I could throw a bed break-in party?

stay with the basic technology and get one of the new soft-side water beds...
I had my best sleep ever when I had a water bed. And... the sex was good too... lol
