Memorial Day isn't just for remembering

My grandfather is a World War II veteran. I think about him on Memorial Day and give him a call. (I stay in touch throughout the year) Here's to you, Grampy! *lifts beer, gulp*
I'm Jewish, so I think about the holocaust, and how lucky I am to be here.
I'm remembering our troops that died in Iraq. Senselessly, in my opinion. I'm against the war, I support our troops, and hope the ones still there get to come home soon.

That said, instead of dwelling for too long on the pain and the victories of the past...I think the best thing one can do on Memorial Day is Make Memories. Do something special, do something Memorable. Do something that will make the day a fond Memory for someone else.

Happy Memorial Day

Hmmm,'s already after 3, I don't think I'll be doing anything memorable today, lol.

lol made memories yesterday with your trip. I believe that's sufficient for making it a Memorable Memorial Day Weekend.

I couldn't agree with you's all about the memories...

I make mistakes, I am out of control & at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best. ~Marilyn
