Can you relate?

I love music. I'm all about music and the energy one can find from the beat, the harmony, the melody and of course, the words. The soul that can be found, in music, is amazing if it touches you the right way. I'm all about energy...all kinds of energy, I'm not picky about it. I'll take what I can get and use it accordingly.

I have a wide range of music tastes. I try not to be too opinionated about types of music, but it's true that I like some music much more than others.

I'm sitting here listening to Kelly Clarkson and the song "You Found Me" started playing and it struck me like a bolt of lightening. I thought I'd share the lyrics.

You Found Me

Is this a dream?
If it is, please don't wake me from this high.
I'd become comfortably numb-
Until you opened up my eyes to what it's like,
When everything's right.
I can't believe....

(Chorus)
You found me,
When no one else was looking.
How did you know just where I would be?
Yeah, you broke through all of my confusion;
The ups and downs and you still didn't leave.
I guess that you saw what nobody could see.
You found me. You found me.

So, here we are and that's pretty far,
When you think of where we've been.
No going back, I'm fading out all that has-
Faded me within.

You're by my side, now everything's fine.
I can't believe....

(Chorus)

I was hiding,
'Till you came along-
And showed me where I belong.

You found me, when no one else was looking.
How did you know? How did you know?

(Chorus)

I guess that you saw what nobody else could see.
The good and the bad and the things-
In between.
You found me.

The entire song is melodic and full of soul. It touched me to the very core. I can relate, all to well, to this song.

What about you? What song just grabbed you and touched you like none other?

Yes "Always on a Mountain (when I fall)" by Merle Haggard I used to have the lyrics in my head and the album with the lyric, but like so much else, it's gone.

I understand about lyrics grabbing you and it just seems like the songwriter knew you personally. The first time I heard it was right after I found my girl in bed with another man when I got home early. I haven't loved that passionately since. I've always held back, for fear of being hurt like that again, but it hasn't stopped me from trying... Just like now. After some rough times, my wife and I were trying very hard to get thing right again between us. We hadn't had a major disagreement since before Christmas. Then a week ago last Friday, she had an anurysm and died. {sigh} I'm always on amountain when I fall. I never go up but I come crashing back down

I just decided to search for the lyrics and found them (courtesy of http://AdultFriendFinder.com)

Most of my life, I've almost been a winner.
I've come so close but never really won.
Just when I thought I finally made it,
I found myself back where I started from.
I hate to say I'm giving up but I believe,
Losin's just become a way of life for me.
Losin' wouldn't be so bad at all,
But I'm always on a mountain when I fall.

Then you came along and had me, had me believin',
For once in my life my luck had finally changed.
And now you say you're gonna leave me,
Seems everything I do winds up the same.

I hate to say I'm giving up but I believe,
Losin's just become a way of life for me.
Losin' wouldn't be so bad at all,
But I'm always on a mountain when I fall.

Losin' wouldn't be so bad at all,
But I'm always on a mountain when I fall.

Story of my life, man

I'm terribly sorry for your loss. I myself just lost 2 very close friends...one of cancer (she was 15) and the other over seas. Loosing really does seem like a way of life, doesn't it?

Again...I'm sorry for your loss and wish you a swift recovery from all that pains your heart.

Thanks Feel.

I have been reading your blog and learning more about the D/s lifestyle. It has fascinated me for years, but I have never had the courage to try it. Maybe someday

"Everyday is a new day
I’m thankful for every breath I take
I won’t take it for granted (I won't take it for granted)
So I learn from my mistakes
It’s beyond my control, sometimes it’s best to let go
Whatever happens in this lifetime..."
