Take A Number, Fill Out The Blue Form, The Green Document And The Yellow Certification Poll

This poll goes with my post on waiting in line - hopefully appearing above. Please read the post and then come here and let everyone know what kind of line denizen you are.

If you an "other" then please leave everyone an idea of what kind of lineal person you are.

When my kids were younger I was a combination of The Day Care Manager and Inspector Gadget. I could have supplied everyone in line with crackers, juice, gummy bears, crayons, puzzles you name it my bag was endless. Now I am just Inspector Gadget for a few.

Interesting results. I am willing to bet that like me, my fellow Inspector Gadgets would rather think of ourselves as multi-taskers.

katsback, I feel your pain - especially if there is a Ditherer in front of us.

Fox, it's like you are floating isn't it. All of a sudden you are at the front of the line.

southernpeach, those bags are almost like Dr. Who's tardis. They are far bigger on the inside than they are on the outside. (It's a time and space thing.) It is amazing what can come out of one bag.

Jay, the results are indeed interesting. I see nobody would 'fess up to being a know-it-all or a pain in the arse in line: and yet, inevitably, they are omnipresent in every line I stand in.

I am a zen master. I learned how to be a zen master when I was running turret presses at Freightliner. One of the senior operators always ran the jobs that took 15 - 20 minutes per job and it used to look like he was dead while the job was running.

Then the part would be completed and start to exit the machine and his eyes would snap open and his hands would always be in the exact position to retrieve the part.

He was an extreme minimalist in his application - a lesson for waiting in lines.
