Inserting one's self

I decided to go over to a really good mate's this afternoon to have a pint of Boddies and see what he has been up to.

This guy is a great computer programmer and all around great friend and godfather to my oldest daughter. I wanted to see his new house.

He has a killer office and he has created a wall of fame of him with all kinds of famous people in very famous pictures: only he has created these pictures a la Forrest Gump.

I could not pick out a favourite but had to settle for two. One photo had him sitting with Stalin, Churchill and Roosevelt at Yalta. Another had him standing next to Bobby Moore as England lifted the World Cup in 1966. His work was absolutely seamless.

So what great event (or non-event) would you insert yourself into? What photograph would you have loved to have been a part of?

I think that for me, I would somehow insert myself into Neil Armstrong's "one giant step for mankind". Of course it would also be kind of cool to be painted into DaVinci's Last Supper.

Me playing drums with the Stones
or
my head on Brandi Chastain's body
or
having lunch at the Algonquin Round Table with Dorothy Parker, Oscar Wilde, Mark Twain, Bill Clinton and Annie Oakley

I'm going with the Last Supper thing as well. On Diana's body in her wedding dress. You know the sculpture of the soldiers uprighting the flag - the famous one? I would take the place of the flag, as if I were stage diving.

Sunney, the last supper sounds cool doesn't it. Or maybe inserting oneself into the velvet painting of the dogs playing pool.
