Getting A Bit Nosey Here

It is time for all of us to lighten up and relax and rid ourselves of my ex-caused angst. And so we will play a little game of answering questions about basically useless things in order to amuse each other.

And of course it is just plain fun to be nosey about each other. And just like E-Harmony, how else will I find the most perfect woman for me. But, at least, my questions are about relevant every day shit.

The easy questions:

What is your favorite Elton John song? Why?

What is your favorite kind of potato chip?

How do you like your eggs? What do you put on them?

Who is your favorite soccer team?

What was the last wild animal that you saw?

Now that was not too bad now was it? We are working hard here on finding me a dream woman and, well, it could be you. (My mum says I am quite a prize.) Are you ready to continue with some medium questions?

Can you bait a hook?

Could you be seen in public riding in a pick up truck with a rifle rack and Yosemite Sam mud flaps?

What would you order: cheesecake, pie, ice cream or trifle?

Have you ever eaten those desserts in bed?

Where on your back is your special tension release point and does it need to be rubbed, stroked, or pushed?

Do you change the oil in your car every 3000 miles?

We are touching on lots of different subjects here but all of them tell me a little bit more about you. I had thought to chuck a math question or two in here as well but why be cruel like that? Just a few more to go now.

Have you ever been to the opera?

Spits or swallows (your chewing gum that is ‒ did you think I was asking about something else) ?

What newspapers do you read? What sections do you read?

Who is your favorite character in history? Why that particular person in that particular time?

and…………………………….finally

How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop?

Now I will be collating data and doing all kinds of kinky mathematical things that I just cannot talk about in public. Just imagine me all naked, sweaty and crashing algorithms on my dry erase boards to get to the bottom of all this information.

What is your favorite Elton John song? Why?
Tiny Dancer... Reminds me of simpler times.. (My son is named after Elton John's drummer...and strangely enough...he's a drummer too.)

What is your favorite kind of potato chip?
Bar-B-Q...Lays

How do you like your eggs? What do youput on them?
Eggs Benedict....with lots of sauce.

Who is your favorite soccer team?
Huh? Does that relate to baseball and the fabulously wonderful RED SOX?

What was the last wild animal that you saw?
An Egret... (ask Safira...lol)

-----------------------------------------------------
Can you bait a hook?
Hell yea....(but in truth...I perfer to bait it with the dead stuff...it really hurts my feelings to hook the little worm and the crickets...) (and please keep this quiet...it would mortify my daddy).

Could you be seen in public riding in a pick up truck with a rifle rack and Yosemite Sam mud flaps?
Would the rack have a rifle in it and would the flaps have MUD?

What would you order: cheesecake, pie, ice cream or trifle?
cheesecake...or trifle...would depend on the flavors.

Have you ever eaten those desserts in bed?
Indeed...and fed them in bed too. **blush, blush**

Where on your back is your special tension release point and does it need to be rubbed, stroked, or pushed?
Right in the very center of my lower back...right between the "dimples"...rub, stroke or push...they all work depending on the stress of the day.

Do you change the oil in your car every 3000 miles?
Is this a trick question? Though I "could" change it myself, I usually let Robert at the garage do it for me. He enjoys it, and well..he does have a family to feed.

--------------------------------------------------------

Have you ever been to the opera?
No... ... but I've always wanted to..

Spits or swallows (your chewing gum that is ‒ did you think I was asking about something else) ?
oh...gum? hmm...spit. (and thanks for clarifying that...

What newspapers do you read? What sections do you read?
The Virginian Pilot...the whole thing except for the classified and the business section...(love the commentary section)

Who is your favorite character in history? Why that particular person in that particular time?

Queen Elizabeth...She had balls of steel in a time when women were not really supposed to be smart...and though she could be a major bitch and a bit weird about some things...you gotta respect the fact that she not only took on the "big boys" and won, she seriously kicked ass.

and…………………………….finally

How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop?
Licks? You mean you can lick your way to the center? Oh Wow...I never knew that...

I make mistakes, I am out of control & at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best. ~Marilyn

What is your favorite Elton John song? Why?

Bennie & The Jets. I think it's about drugs. He stutters. Damn, dude! Why do we like any song? It sounds good, okay?!?

What is your favorite kind of potato chip?

Sea salt & vinegar.

How do you like your eggs? What do youput on them?

Over easy. Huevos rancheros with salsa on top.

Who is your favorite soccer team?

Huh? Me encanta Argentina porque los argentinos tienen un acento que me hace querer joderles.

What was the last wild animal that you saw?

Dolphin.

Can you bait a hook?

Depends on what I'm fishing for. I've found that fishnets work well for most of my prey.

Could you be seen in public riding in a pick up truck with a rifle rack and Yosemite Sam mud flaps?

Yes, of course. Why would you ask? Though my gun rack will be empty.

What would you order: cheesecake, pie, ice cream or trifle?

Pumpkin pie with loads of whipped.

Have you ever eaten those desserts in bed?

Never trifle. All the rest, yes. In bed is the best place for dessert, don't you think?

Where on your back is your special tension release point and does it need to be rubbed, stroked, or pushed?

It's a little lower than my back. The best "back rub" I ever got worked out that lower-than-my-back tension and left me purring.

Do you change the oil in your car every 3000 miles?

No. Would you do it for me?

Have you ever been to the opera?

Yes. In Spain.

Spits or swallows (your chewing gum that is ‒ did you think I was asking about something else) ?

Spit it right out the window of my car into the shubbery. Good aim, too.

What newspapers do you read? What sections do you read?

S.B. News Press: comics first, Lifestyle, opinion.

Who is your favorite character in history? Why that particular person in that particular time?

Pass. Too hard. Too many. Too many glasses of wine to pick one.

How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop?

One. No, two.

BPB

Do I win the prize?

BPB

The easy questions:

What is your favorite Elton John song? Why?

Pain. Ever heard it? At a time in my life when I was hurting, I was commuting to work and this was one of my favorite somgs to play loudly in my car and sing with it.

What is your favorite kind of potato chip?

Kettle Chips!!! mmmmmm....

How do you like your eggs? What do youput on them?

Scrambled or omelet. fav ingredients are ham, cheese, mushrooms, maybe bacon

Who is your favorite soccer team? ummmmm... don't have one?

What was the last wild animal that you saw? A bird in my yard tonight.

Now that was not too bad now was it? We are working hard here on finding me a dream woman and, well, it could be you. (My mum says I am quite a prize.) Are you ready to continue with some medium questions?

I can tell you right now, I ain't likely to be her.

Can you bait a hook? Have been known to. Not something I look forward to doing again.

Could you be seen in public riding in a pick up truck with a rifle rack and Yosemite Sam mud flaps? If I wanted to go anywhere with 90% of my relatives, yes. NO "W" stickers though!

What would you order: cheesecake, pie, ice cream or trifle? oh boy, hard choice, but depends on the season. About now in Oregon, pie (Strawberry Rhubarb) Well, no, of these choices, pie might always win.

Have you ever eaten those desserts in bed?

Maaaaybeee. But my kids were probalby involved. Well, not always... Definitely Tira Misu. mmmmmmm...

Where on your back is your special tension release point and does it need to be rubbed, stroked, or pushed?

Ok, here....right here, no up a little higher, more to the right... oh yeaaaah... right there. Yes!

Do you change the oil in your car every 3000 miles? No, but (most years) I have it done. I get free oil changes at the dealership.

We are touching on lots of different subjects here but all of them tell me a little bit more about you. I had thought to chuck a math question or two in here as well but why be cruel like that? Just a few more to go now.

Ahhhhh, come on...I want the math question!

Have you ever been to the opera? No, but have always wanted to.

Spits or swallows (your chewing gum that is ‒ did you think I was asking about something else) ?

Did a lot of swallowing as a kid. Now, spit and discreetly dispose--never spitting it just anywhere. Goo on my Birkis....ewwww!

What newspapers do you read? What sections do you read?

Well, i get two papers daily, the Oregonian and a local rag. But most days, I have little time to get much read. In general, front page, comics, op-ed, Metro, business sections are the ones I read the most. Best part of the Oregonian, hands down: the edge!

Who is your favorite character in history? Why that particular person in that particular time?

A tie: Elizabeth Blackwell and Abigail Scott Duniway. Ever heard of either? If you know who they are,you will know exactly why

and…………………………….finally

How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop?

Oh, oh! I know this one!

It takes 4-5 tentative licks, then

4-6 more serious licks, then

A good loooong suck, then

a few more of those, then

GOTTA get to the gooey inside.

I love you ... you know:

What is your favorite Elton John song? Why?

I have two. Sorry, that's how it goes. Little Jeannie. Love the lyrical muscianship. Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word. I love the lyrics and the plainitiveness of his voice. Of course, I love all of Reginald's works ... But that's just me.

What is your favorite kind of potato chip?

Ruffled Plain, Lay's or Utz, though Miss Vicky's Lime and Black Pepper kind of give me a rush, too.

How do you like your eggs? What do you put on them?

I love the incredible, edible egg in ALL her forms.

My all time favorite is either in Eggs Benedict or over medium, and I always travel with Texas Pete.

Who is your favorite soccer team?

Manchester United ... always has been, always will.

What was the last wild animal that you saw?

A fawn.

Can you bait a hook?

Absolutely.

Could you be seen in public riding in a pick up truck with a rifle rack and Yosemite Sam mud flaps?

Absolutely.

What would you order: cheesecake, pie, ice cream or trifle?

I love them all, but would order pie (blueberry or apple or pumpkin).

Have you ever eaten those desserts in bed?

Absolutely!

Where on your back is your special tension release point and does it need to be rubbed, stroked, or pushed?

At the bottom, dead-center of my shoulder blades, and it needs to be pushed.

Do you change the oil in your car every 3000 miles?

No, but Jiffy Lube does.

Have you ever been to the opera?

I've SANG with Jeremy Hines of the New York Metropolitan Opera! Oh, okay ... YES!

Spits or swallows (your chewing gum that is ‒ did you think I was asking about something else)?

Depends on where I am and what I'm doing.

What newspapers do you read? What sections do you read?

Wall Street Journal (front section, the most) ... The London Times (all of it ... it's fascinating) ... The New York Times, The Washington Post, Washington Times (front pages and headlines of each section for each paper, unless someone's alerted me to something going down)

Who is your favorite character in history? Why that particular person in that particular time?

Winston Churchill ... He was a flawed human being and a wonderful leader.

How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop?

Oh it can take me many, many, many licks to get to the center of a tootsie pop. Though I do like Mr. Owl's method, on occasion, too.

This is my blog - Comes With Warning Labels. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

I am indeed flattered and grateful for all of the answers that everyone has left for me. And while I will be answering individually to everyone, I thought that, in all fairness, I should answer my own questions.

What is your favorite Elton John song? Why?
While I love all of the songs on Madman Across The Water, and indeed I rate Tiny Dancer as one of Elton's greatest songs, my favourite Elton song is the title track. It is one of the few Elton songs with a strong guitar riff and though it is very simple, it is a very strong riff and makes the song fantastic.

What is your favorite kind of potato chip?
I have always loved salt and vinegar potato chips (crisps in my native tongue).

How do you like your eggs? What do you put on them?
I love scrambled eggs on a Sunday morning. But my favourite egg of all is fried and over easy. I love to take two eggs and some bacon and put them in a sandwich with lots of green tabasco sauce on the eggs.

Who is your favorite soccer team?
Tottenham Hotspurs located in north London. Is there really any other club in the world? My daughters are mad for Man Utd.

What was the last wild animal that you saw?
Yesterday, on my way to work, I saw a herd of elk crossing a golf course.

Can you bait a hook?
Since I fish most weekends, the answer is a resounding yes. The real test question should have been "Would you bait a hook and then eat a sandwich with the same hand?" A real fisherman does that.

Could you be seen in public riding in a pick up truck with a rifle rack and Yosemite Sam mud flaps?
Everyday - but my daughters hate the truck now. It is good for them and keeps their snobby little arses grounded and humble.

What would you order: cheesecake, pie, ice cream or trifle?
I am a pie freak. Right now, I am eyeing up a stand of blackberries that sits in the middle of a field close to my home. Blackberry/apple pie sounds really good to me (with homemade vanilla ice cream). Of course trifle is lots of fun to eat too.

Have you ever eaten those desserts in bed?
Unfortunately I have only eaten them alone in bed. I have never gone tandem on a piece of pie - but then I would have to share it, wouldn't I?

Where on your back is your special tension release point and does it need to be rubbed, stroked, or pushed?
Just like Saf, my release point is at the bottom of my shoulder blades. It needs pressure to help release stress.

Do you change the oil in your car every 3000 miles?
I love messing with my truck. Today I changed the air filter and the fuel filter.

Have you ever been to the opera?
I went and saw Don Giovanni last month. More than the opera itself, it is the fun of putting on a tux and drinking champagne and hanging out with the "beautiful people".

Spits or swallows (your chewing gum that is ‒ did you think I was asking about something else) ?
I usually swallow gum when I chew it, but I very rarely chew gum.

What newspapers do you read? What sections do you read?
I usually read all of the London Times and the New York Times. I also read the Sun for shits and giggles since it is so bad. If forced upon me, I will glance at the Oregonian. I read the sports section (of course) since it is genetically programmed into me. I read the international news and business sections as well.

Who is your favorite character in history? Why that particular person in that particular time?
This would be a difficult question for me as I love history so much. Galileo would be fun (except for the inquisitional torture bit (everyone fears the inquisition) ). But I think I would have liked to be Leonardo DaVinci. It would be amazing to be able to think at that level. How would you, indeed how could you, relate to anyone around you.

How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop?
I am one of those individual who makes it to three or four licks. Any kind of hard candy begs me to crunch and crush it.

My favorite Elton John song? That would have to be Burn Down the Mission. I don't know why, it just moves me. The rest of the questions are inconsequential since I wish not to be considered. I don't care how big a prize Mum thinks you are. I just stopped by to let you know:

The easy questions:

What is your favorite Elton John song? Why?
I don't listen to Elton John...you'd have to play me a few...What is your favorite kind of potato chip?

How do you like your eggs? What do you put on them?
I like them fresh, as in freshly gathered from the hen house, and I eat them poached on toasted home made bread.

Who is your favorite soccer team?
You mean, I'm supposed to follow that stuff?

What was the last wild animal that you saw?
Alive or dead? I saw a coyote in my yard just before 6 a couple weeks back. My dog was none too pleased and chased it off as soon as I gave her a chance.

Now that was not too bad now was it? We are working hard here on finding me a dream woman and, well, it could be you. (My mum says I am quite a prize.)
LMAO@ yer mum...

Are you ready to continue with some medium questions?

Can you bait a hook?
LOL...the real question is, why do I want to? You bait the hook, I'll just sit back with my book...

Could you be seen in public riding in a pick up truck with a rifle rack and Yosemite Sam mud flaps?
Ummm...guns make me nervous, but we have a 4x4 Suburban that we've had a lot of fun with in places where mud flaps might be necessary

What would you order: cheesecake, pie, ice cream or trifle?
I'd want to see the pictures.

Have you ever eaten those desserts in bed?
Do you remember the sesame street episode where Bert and Ernie are talking about crumbs in bed? My hubby is like Bert. He doesn't like me to have food in our bed at all!

Where on your back is your special tension release point and does it need to be rubbed, stroked, or pushed?
The sacral illiac joint...and rubbing, stroking and pushing there are ALL WELCOME.

Do you change the oil in your car every 3000 miles?
Is that what I'm supposed to do?

We are touching on lots of different subjects here but all of them tell me a little bit more about you. I had thought to chuck a math question or two in here as well but why be cruel like that? Just a few more to go now.

Have you ever been to the opera?
No, but I think I'd enjoy it.

Spits or swallows (your chewing gum that is ‒ did you think I was asking about something else) ?
Chewing gum? I'm not in high school anymore!

What newspapers do you read? What sections do you read?
I just read the online versions...and not much of them

Who is your favorite character in history? Why that particular person in that particular time?
I'm supposed to have a favorite? How 'bout I just choose the last century. I find Golda Meir quite fascinating.

and…………………………….finally

How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop?
I thought you said no math? Not that math intimidates me. I clepped it for college. I would have to assume that the number of licks is going to be partly determined by the amount of saliva and the length of the licks. Really it has got to be entirely relative to the licker. How many licks does it take you? Besides, I chew mine
