The Right Thing To Do

For years my heart was in seclusion
Never given anyone even a morsel of a chance
Once you gave me that sparkle of a glance
Wants and desires no longer a delusion

Inside you took a glance
Not knowing there was a chance
I never expected to be opening a door
I never thought you would be what I was looking for

My hand crosses your chest
A broken heart I feel trying to rest
As I look into your face
Memories I see trying to erase

As your body may be eager to stay
Your mind tries to push it all away
As I hold out to you an open hand
I can see you struggling over a golden band

The words that bind us maybe true
Savoring the time spent with you
We have to live with the hands dealt
Words not expressed on how I felt

I never meant to cause your life pain
Your tears fall like the springtime rain
Is your ache meant to be
Do you need to be set free?

Hi Donnajean,
Great stuff you are expressing in your writings. I see you have given more thought as to what you are now experiencing in your relationship. You are indeed letting down some of the wall. Time will tell. Easy does it. I like the new pictures also.
