Warm And Tender Love

I don't know how she found me
My darling dearest one
But I knew my past was over
And my future had begun

Sir, she said, I'll love you
Until the end of time
But how will you convince me
That truly you'll be mine?

'I'll love you in the morning
I'll love you noon and night
With my arms around you
I will take away your fright

And if you swear I'll fit you
like a hand within your glove
I'll promise I'll enfold you
in my warm and tender love.'

Then I took her in my arms
And with me she did lay
As she gave me all her charms
And never did I stray

And every time she asked me
Whether always I'd be true
I'd turned to her my eyes to see
All sudden filled with dew

'I've loved you in the morning
I've loved you noon and night
With my arms around you
I did take away your fright

And as you swore I'd fit you
like a hand within your glove
I always did enfold you
in my warm and tender love.'

For the Shining One.

Beautiful poem. May I send it to someone?

"Don't cry because it's over; smile because it happened."
