Whose the American idol in you ?

Who is the idol in your life, that one person that you look up too, that encourages you in all directions, the person when you were younger or even today-whether its a mom or dad, teacher, friend, how did this person make you stronger ?

Aha, now you are trying to hit the homeland on your fellow bloggers, CuteAZ. This one is easy for me. I have two people that I look up in this area for very specific reasons.
a) My Papa ~ He was and always will be my center. The one man in my life that never let me down and always taught me that the best values in life come from the love of my family and friends. You are never too old to be a child, your work should always make you proud, your family is more important than your money, anf God always wins.

b) My Grammy ~ no matter who she came across in life or what she saw there was something good in it. It didn't matter if that person had done her wrong a hundred times there was something inside of them worthy of being loved and she was going to love it. It didn't matter matter if the situation was wrought with death and destruction somewhere in it was something good, even if it was just the fact that the rain was able to wash the blood away she would find thanks in it.

I look up to those two people everyday. I try to find something each day to remind me of both of them. My Papa has been gone now for 10 years, my Grammy is still here though but I know that someday she will be gone too, so I try to make sure that I am keeping both of them close to me always.

My Mom, My Dad (may he be at peace as he looks down upon me), my maternal Grandma, my paternal step-Grandma.

I never did well when I was told to pick just one.

My mother...she really is my only true friend. Without her and would truly be finished.

For me, my hero these days would have to be my significant other. I have never met a man who supports me the way he does in every endeavor I care to take on. He has made me stronger just by allowing me to be who I am...accepting the good, the bad, the ugly...and by helping me make changes in directions I wish to.

Well, it's collective for me. I look up to a lot of people for a lot of different reasons. My Gram is wise and well spoken, my Mom is compassionate and caring, my Dad is AWESOME at his job, my one sister has always been able to prevail through the crappy parts of life, an other sister of mine has great patience, one of my dearest friends had a zest for life that is just indescribable, and an other friend for her unconditional love and understanding. Everyone has their good and bad side but I look up to several people for the best part of who they are. I have been blessed with a variety of people throughout my life so far and am thankful for the positive traits that I have been able witness from them.

My father is my idol. He supported me in everything I have ever done. He was the best father that walked this fine earth. I miss him!

You all are such a blessing thank you for answering such a question as this, to answer asianlady4love's question to me is...The person that i looked up to the most, who i believe made me who i am today is my dad, even though i gave him crap for most my life with him, it was his last few years that we bonded and became father and son. I saw things in him i never saw before, yet today his personality and heart lives in me(as other family members say and as i found out by myself through the years without him)

My mother is a woman that i look up to in a great deal-she is a true charm, i went to breakfast last week and i was sitting at a booth eating my hash browns and talking to some guy i don't even know (I have a habit of doing this) and after 45 minutes, he says son (obviously older than i) tell your mom next time you talk i said thank you.....

I said sure thing, but why ? he says "By your personality and heart she did a fine job of raising you." I smiled and said i will pass that along.
