The bank is closed

Today would have been my last day before going to the new job. I haven't blogged about why I decided not to go, but it's been quite a strain.

Add to that the fact that my voluntary stuff (I don't really blog about that - but I'm treasurer for a few things) is out of control. Three meetings a week for the last six weeks...

Even the friend who I met for a coffee needs me to look at his cash flow projection (Occupational hazard)

Plus I need to be around for the friend that I wrote about in The mask. All in all, I've had no time for myself.

So on Monday, I'm going to have most of a day for myself. I might go down to Swindon and do some shopping or I might just stop at home...

Don't know yet - I'll decide when I get there

Time out for yourself is SO important, Chris, and I'm glad you're taking a chunk.

Treat yourself - even if all that means is staying in bed late!

Doing voluntary work myself, I can definitely relate to what you're talking about, in addition to your "regular" work. It is quite giving and enjoyable, but also quite time consuming. Make sure that you are the one using your time, and not only everyone else.

I can recommend a book by Michael Ende, it is called something like "Momo" or "The Grey Gentlemen", it's good, and about the concept of time and how we use it. At least I enjoyed it very much

Take care
