You thought you were being direct...

It can be really intimidating to a man to have a beautiful woman show interest in him. When I get attention from a woman to whom I'm very attracted I often have to pinch myself to make sure I am awake.

Ladies, when you like a guy you may think you are being direct but those of us males who are occasionally unsure of ourselves are absolutely brilliant at finding non-romantic, non-sexual motives for the attention we receive from women, especially beautiful women.

Here are some ways women have broken through that wall with me in the past:

* Came right out and kissed my cheek.

* Stared me in the eyes until I caught on that she wanted to be kissed.

* Said, "We should go out sometime!" (I still didn't get what she really meant until about two hours later.)

* Put her hands on my chest while we were dancing.

* Leaned on me for support as we were walking (supposedly she'd hurt her hip).

* Just closed her eyes and puckered up.

I don't leave it up to the guy. I know guys are just as self-conscious and afraid of doing the wrong thing as I am... but, I think that being married and past all that un-sureness nonsense has made me more confident.

The dates I've been on, I mention to the guy that I like him so far, he hopefully says the same back. Eventually, we'll just have a "moment..." where the conversation lulls and our eyes meet. I lean across the table and kiss him.
Who knew it could be so simple????
We then pay our bill and get out to the parking lot ASAP.
If more women were willing to make the first move, the world would be a happier place. *sigh*
