It's All In The Tone Of His Voice

Dear Blog

I'm in the doghouse now! Oh well, won't be the first time I upset hubby, nor the last! He'll just have to get over it!

We belong to a local club, & last night was the ladies meeting. I have been attending the meetings all summer, interested in finding out what's going on at our club. Hubby usually goes with me, but he stayed home since he worked long hours yesterday.

Well, after the meeting was over, I sat with a few of the ladies & chatted for awhile... it was just nice not hearing hubby say 'let's go, I gotta get up early for work.'

Hubby finally calls me about 10:30pm, asking where I'm at. By then it was just me & one other lady sitting there talking. He tells me it's time for me to come home. I made it home shortly before 12:30!

I really don't know if hubby is upset at me, or how upset he is... since I was sleeping when he left for work at 5am. I'm assuming, by the tone of his voice when he called me, that he is upset. I'll have to let you know!

Sounds to me that he was feeling a little lonley for you last night, and your probobly not in any trouble if you don't mention it first. It woulde not hurt to do somthing special for him when he gets home today. you know favorite desert or somthing.
Keep in mind even though he may not of done or said anything special last night, he has become used to you being there.

hi candy, been awhile since i dropped in to read your comments. don't think i agree with lawrence, I think he was a bit ticked off. for one thing if his first question was "where are you"? when he knew you went to the club. I'm sure though that he will get over it soon, how could he not with such a sexi partner ) hey did i miss this years chili party? lol i make a mean batch if you were looking for more people to attend. have a great day

well thanks lawrence, but he is kinda a control freak & jealous as hell! I know he is pissed at me, he never called me at lunch time today, which he always does... he didn't take his lunch from the fridge to work, which seldom happens. I did nothing wrong! He called me & knew where I was. So his being upset is his problem to get over, not mine.

I am a little tired over bending over for him all the time. I think that's the problem in the first place, I let him get over on me way to much.

I feel like it's Independence Day!

he sounds controlling to me, but i don't know the man, but i do know that partners need time for themselves, and if he knew where you were i don't see the problem, maybe you need a night out alone or give me a jingle i'll show you a good time!!!

BIG D....

Maybe you should go out again. He should trust you more.

Atleast he knew you were out with the ladies, instead of one of us naughty guys! lol.....
I hope things get better for you at home, Candy.

Hi Candy, you did nothing wrong. You need the time to be with your friends at times. And it's probably good to get away from hubby now and then.

thanks guys... although i expected him to blow up at me, he surprisingly didn't. geez & here i was so sure he would! he certainly made a fool out of me! lol

i have meetings every tuesday for the rest of the month. wanna bet if he tags along with me or will he stay at home?

i remember not too long ago, he told me not to plan anything for him! if he gives me a hard time about me doing my own thing... i'm going to politely remind him of what he said.
