Well..it happened.

Everyone has been asking me how my daughter's wedding went. My reply was, " I heard it was beautiful". This is what I remember, the rest is just a happy blur. I hope the pictures will help me to recall the rest.

Saturday June 24th was a hot and humid day for us here in Texas. There was a slight breeze blowing to help cool us off and shade under the trees. It was still 96 degrees at 6:30 in the evening. Peach colored roses and white lilies cover the redwood arbor. The arbor was set on a small hill, with the lake behind it and gently rolling pastures behind the lake. I remember my daughter arriving in the horse drawn carriage looking like Scarlet O'Hara from Gone with the Wind. When we all stood and her daddy walked her down on the carpet of peach rose petals, I cried. That's it, that's all I remember. I don't think I was stressed I was just focused on my daughter and wanting her to have a great time. I tried to scan a picture of sarah and include it. I hope it works out. If not I will just include the web site where the photos will be.

The next morning Sarah called me at 8:00 a.m. and asked me if I was going to church. I said I was planning on it why, what's wrong? Sarah said, "I haven't packed yet for the honeymoon" So, her daddy, my son and I all went over to help. It turned out that she had the clothes picked out and on the bed she just didn't have suitcases to put them in. Luckily, I thought to bring ours and it took just a few minutes to put everything in them.

Then the fun part happened. We waved as Sarah and Jeremiah left in his truck to go eat breakfast. As soon as they were gone, I turned to my husband and said ok, where are the tin cans and the car markers? We spent some time decorating Sarah's truck. We were nice. We didn't let air out of the tires, or put shaving cream under the door handles, nor cover the windows so they couldn't see out. But, we did write funny sayings on the doors like Just hitched, Tied the knot and ball and chained.. Doing that was well worth missing Sunday School.

I'm wondering now how long that stuff stayed written on Sarah's truck.

I did have a good time ohcurious, sir. My husband and his sisters have been talking and reminding me of different things. I have remembered dancing and drinking 4 margaritas..
