The results are in..

My sister called me an hour ago with the results from her biopsy. The sweet pea sized lump that was removed is "pre-cancerous". The other smaller ones around it were not. They are benign. The doctor called them cysts and advised my sister to cut down on her coffee drinking.

I am disapointed. The results were really not what I wanted to hear. I wanted to hear that sis had nothing to worry about. But, that's not what I got. Instead of not cancerous I got not really good news nor is it really bad. So, I am trying to think positive, as there is hope for a cure and a better diagnosis.

It was my sister's decision to treat this semi-aggressively. There will be no chemo treatments unless another lump is found. Sis starts the radiation treatments next week, once a week for 6 weeks. Then she starts taking the drug Tamoxifen in two weeks. She has to stay on that medication for 5 years and will have more frequent mammograms.

And that's really all I have to say about this.

A word for her: A positive mental outlook and natural food will help tremendously. I have seen it over and over with friends and family. Avoid processed foods like drive-thru anything, switch to as much organic food as possible and try coffees that are decaf which still have small amounts of caffeine. Best of luck.

This is probably going to sound odd, but either get these for her or have her buy the books by Dirk Benedict. In it, he talks aabout how he overcame cancer with eating rice foods.

Yes..better then bad.

I am trying to, jvt. Right now I am really having a problem sleeping. I have insomnia to begin with and now this has caused my brain to go into hyper drive. Can't seem to shut down my thoughts.
