About me

When I was a teenager I did not have a diary as my girl friends did. That's probably because I have 6 brothers and 3 sisters. There was a definite lack of privacy growing up. Also, I did not want one of my brothers to read my private thoughts, which being the big teasers they are, they would have in a heart beat and then held it over my head. So, even though I did not have a diary I wrote poetry and short stories filled with my thoughts and feelings. My brothers would come across me writing and when they asked what I was doing I always replied writing poetry. To which they'd make general faces of puzzlement as if to say, "Why are you doing THAT" and quickly leave me alone. My sisters and I would share our creative writing endeavors with each other and I can remember fond times of that sitting underneath the huge weeping willow tree in the back yard. It was a great old tree. We would crawl under it and feel like we were hidden from the world, safe and secure.

Anyway, I thought I would give this Blog writing a chance and see how it turns out.

I have been told that there is too much information in my profile and to put it in a Blog for those to read who wish to read such information. I will attempt do that now.

Hobbies:Swiming, Reading, Cooking, Painting, Singing.

Favorite authors:Anne McCaffery, Sherrlyn Kenyon, Sandra Brown, Elizabeth Lowell, Agatha Christy, Susan Sizemore, Nora Roberts, J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis and a lot of others not mentioned here.

Favorite Foods: Salmon, Shrimp, Trout, Catfish, Bass, Crab, Lobster, Chicken, Bacon, Ham, Pork chops, Italian, Tex-Mex and Chinese.

Food Dislikes: Very spicy foods that burn my tongue and my stomach. Beef Liver, Chicken Liver, Collard greens, Turnip greens, Escargot, and Oysters.

Pet Peeves:Road Rage Drivers, Rudeness, and people who get into the express lane at the grocery store which has a 20 item limit with a huge basket full of groceries! (That always seems to happen to me when I am in a hurry..

Favorite Music: I enjoy listening to all kinds of music. Growing up there was always someone singing or playing an instrument. But, my favorites would be Classical Rock like the Bee Gees, Gun's and Roses, The Eagles, and Lenord Skyner. I also love Cher, both her old and new music. Those just mentioned are listened to every day. I also enjoy balads such as Peter, Paul and Mary, Simon and Garfunkle, John Denver and Bob Dylan. I also listen to some Country and western such as Keith Urban, Gretchen Wilson, Tanya Tucker, Kenny Chesney, Lee Ann Womack, Carrie Underwood, Willy Nelson, and Johnny Cash.

Well..that is all I can think of at this time. If you want to know more, just ask me.

quoting Tenderbeast"Are you as fun as you appear to be?"

My brothers could probably answer that much better than I can, Tenderbeast. They would tell you I am about as much fun as a sack full of puppies and I also have a "smart mouth"

Thanks for rplying to my Blog. I appreciate any comments.

People in the express lane at the grocery store with a boatload of groceries in their cart should be flogged with a wet loofah.

I really loved that old weeping willow tree. It was in the back yard and was so big it's branches hung down to the ground. Made a nice place to "hide" for us girls.

Big families have their advantages also their disadvantages, like the lack of privacy I was talking about.

Thaank you for reading and commenting on my blog. I hope you will return.

. . . . and people who get into the express lane at the grocery store which has a 20 item limit with a huge basket full of groceries . . .

. . . and the check-out person says, "Now which twenty items did you want?"

LOL Melciber. If only. Not only do the cashiers/check out people say nothing but sometimes they encourage people with huge baskets full of groceries to come over into the express check out lane. My point being, why then call it an express lane and advertise fast service? In that case ALL the check out lines are express lanes..
