Are there truly romantic lovers around?

Perhaps this is not the site to ask that question, but I need to get it out there.

Seriously, are the days of romantic love-making gone with the wind, so to speak? Has this age of instant satisfaction and zipping through rapid communication via the internet foreclosed taking time to really get to know another person well before sexual intimacy?

When I was in college, even while it was a time of "free love", there were many occasions when a guy asked me out, coming to pick me up with a single rose in hand, treating me like a princess...

I remember being taken for walks along the beaches, hand in hand, stopping for kisses which were long, drawn-out periods of sensual exploration, taking time to tease each other, arousing each other thoroughly. Dancing was another way in which I delighted in being held closely, snuggled together, feeling each other's bodies caressing...arousing...

Then there were those Christmas and summer holidays often spent far apart, when letters were written, longings expressed, though libidos were not assuaged. Anticipation, with the brain being so powerful an aphrodasiac. Sure makes the eventual sensual encounter much more pleasurable... well, at least in my humble opinion.

Phooey to the characters who fire off a one-liner saying "ur a sexy lady. wanna fuck at 8 tonite?" ... or maybe even less!

Oh, Romeo... wherefor art thou?

[OK, so I'm just teasing...]

Well my friend, this might not be the site for a romantic interlude. Still, in all of AdultFriendFinder it seems to me blogville just might lead you down some fun corridors towards romance. The appeal for me here is just knowing that people DO share a desire for initmacy, the rest is friendship and where people choose to go with the one they create together. Glad you're here, and blogging!!

Thanks Ricko...
Sure am glad there are still romantic guys out there.
Yes, we are far apart, but in any case, I'm not really interested in attached men, even romantic ones.
Good luck in your search.

Thanks for your observations, chef. I wondered if anyone reads these blogs, actually.

It was during the wee early morning hours when I wanted to get some meandering thoughts out, after receiving some blunt overtures, you'll understand.

HI BOBBINGJOY,
YOUR MEANDERING IS TRULY ROMANTIC. DON'T DESPAIR, WE (ROMANTICS) ARE STILL OUT THERE. IN MY AREA, THERE ARE TOO MANY ROMANTIC SPOTS, INCLUDING RESTAURANTS AND B&BS, TO COUNT. IT'S A WONDERFUL AREA FOR ROMANCE.

Thanks for trying to convince me there are still romantic guys around. I'm not in despair, just wish there were more guys looking for more than casual or one-off encounters.

Bring flowers, treat me to a romantic, candle-lit dinner, share the moonlight, kiss tenderly as well as passionately, have a discussion about freedom being another word, beyond having nothing left to lose...
