The lies people tell....

I find it interesting and funny (funny haha and funny strange) that some people do not have a full enough life and they feel the need to lie about it, and lie about others....My life is very full ( all parts of it lol) I have family, friends and a special someone that keeps me extremely busy but not too busy. I dont have to lie about my life it is what it is and will remain what it is and I am happy with it...I do not embelish or lie about it. So to those that feel the need to lie and embelish about their life, get a life would yah...jeez and try to get your head out of ur ass...

I couldn't agree with you more AC. I've chatted with many people who have stories that change on a perpetual basis when chatting with them. It's kinda funny to keep mental tabs on the exaggerators and hear their facts change from one day to the next.

Now, I do believe in, and trust people, and I am probably a li'l gullible but I have an excellent memory. I will rarely meet anyone outside of cyberspace that I know has outright lied to me about something that is important. However, I love a good story, so my MSN buddies who practice embellishing do not bother me at all. I usually just snicker but it makes it hard to take them seriously sometimes.

Lying compromises trust, I too, believe in and practice brutal honesty...

There is at least one permissable exception to the policy of remaining strictly truthful in our dealings with others. That is the fine old southern tradition of 'Storying'. Out west: Cowboy humor & poetry make use of a 'tall tale' to accomplish more than just drawing a bellylaugh out of their audience.

Once started on one of these endeavors, it is encumbent upon the initiator of the effort to carry it through to full completion. Otherwise, the listener is not afforded all the tools necessary to ascertain the underlying truth which the teller is attempting to communicate. The more outrageous and elaborate the lie, the better, is the way I like them.

When I am the victim, after the initial shock and awe, I usually adore the person who went to the trouble. Yikes,... did I really say that? I am enjoying your blog,... very thoughtful, a good read. thank you, maam.
