Now that the unpleasantness is over, anyone care for a beer.Todays tipple is one of my fav wheat beers:

ABV 5.3% • Vol 500 ml • bottle • Germany • Expensive • Flavour 6 • Bottle Conditioned

The Erdinger Brewery in Germany is said to be the biggest producer of wheat beer in the world. This offering is very pale and pours with the characteristic high-rise, fine-bubbled, long-lasting head. On the nose there are grassy, hay-like hops, slightly reminiscent of a lager, with a wheaty cloves-and-bubblegum touch. On the tongue the bubblegum flavour is again distinctive - it is quite lively and bitter, but refreshing. There is also a rubbery note and a slightly oily mouthfeel. Spicy and fruity flavours are present but subtle, a little like vanilla ice cream with a hint of cloves and oranges. The vanilla and wheat flavours continue into the shortish, slightly bitter aftertaste. A somewhat unexceptional example of the style, but nevertheless a pleasant and refreshing beer.

I am Amber Soalire slowly getting inebriated somewhere in the mountains......lol
